"Staff was great, building was very nice and different feel than a normal generic hotel. The food in the restaurant was very good and the staff there was great as well.
Quick walk to gaslamp, petco, and a lot of food choices. Was also a very short drive to zoo/balboa park, and the airport.
Cons: no fridge in the room and only a rack for clothes/luggage.
I chose a “view” room which was slightly more expensive. The “view” was the street below my window and the 15 story building across the street.
Last issue isn’t with the hotel itself, but the location. As long as you went toward the stadium and Gaslamp it was okay, but the area around the hotel was fairly heavily populated at night by drug use and people obviously on something or having other issues. Again that’s not the hotels fault, but it was something very noticeable especially getting there late at night to check in."
