Liked that the hotel kept with an historic theme, seeing as it is right on historic route 66. Enjoyed the park and lake right next door. Decent breakfast options.

Cockroaches
The room smelt horrible like someone had smoked in there and they tried to cover it up. I also saw 2 cockroaches in our room. The free breakfast was little Debbie snack cakes and bananas.

It's an old-style, park-in-front-of-the-door motel, but the sign outside says it's been newly remodeled, and it shows. Everything is fresh and clean, with all the usual modern amenities for those who are computer reliant. The wifi connection was good. Everything was new except the dressers, and they were clean. Continental breakfast was adequate.

Room smelled strongly of stale cigarette smoke, and bugs were crawling out of the walls to die. Like they just fumigated before I checked in.

Unexpectedly great stay.
We had a fantastic one night stay while travelling. Such a pleasant welcome to a nicely appointed and updated room. There's still work to do, but when travelling though, we will absolutely book this motel again.

Nice, clean, and well lit outside rooms. There is a unique situation with birds. Not interfering with room or cars, but be prepared. Building next door triggers noise in attempt to counteract the number of birds that roost overnight. All in all I would stay there again.

At least 8 flies in the room, there was even a fly swatter in the room, so maybe that's a plus? Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Just generally run down a bit. Not horrible, but I don't love having to swat a bunch of flies.

Great cheap no-frills option!
Great no-frills option for the area; cheap, very clean, easily accessible to the highway and to shopping/dining. Bed was comfortable & room/bathroom were very clean. Loved having the fridge & microwave in the room.

Nice Place to Stay
My husband and I had a lovely stay here. We were in town for a wedding and needed a place that was near the church and affordable. The staff were very friendly and even let us check in a few hours early. While it may not be a fancy hotel, it was exactly what we needed.

A fine budget motel.
Service was prompt and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Nothing really bad to say. A couple flying insects greeted me, but at least the room came with a fly swatter. It is to be expected with a motel, especially one in a city filled with the aroma of nearby feed lots. A fine choice for a budget motel. I'd stay again.

The location was not within easy walking distance to restaurants but it sure fit the bill for what we needed that night. The building was older but had some recent work and it was a pleasant stay.
