During our stay, I observed other people with presumably the same responsibility, chatting with the person on the front desk instead of cleaning tables, emptying the trash, and keeping up with things in the breakfast room. "Beautiful, contemporary hotel with wonderful staffing! We especially liked the valets and front desk guys. The room was very clean and bathroom was great! The Covey restaurant was very nice, too. We would stay there again if we ever came back to Gainesville. We weren't especially impressed with the town itself. A few decent restaurants, but run down looking areas with not many shops open. We like shopping at art galleries, and there just wasn't much to do in that area. "

"The pool area was very nice. The rooms and halls desperately need to be renovated though. The lobby was okay, but the rest of the indoor areas had old ugly carpet in bad condition (hallways), chrome fixtures with rust spots all over them, etc. The rooms had everytime we needed and the staff was nice, but i would say this hotel is for families with kids and not ideal for a couple. We were bummed that we did not get too use the very large hot tub, because one big family traveling together decided...
