We had an excellent stay, very relaxing and peaceful, we were brilliantly looked after. The staff were all very helpful and friendly especially in the restaurant. Even had the opportunity to try yoga on a paddle board - wobbly but good fun! Would definitely recommend.

The stagff, the comfortable beds, the drinks package make the stay here worthwhile. The property is tired and sunbed cushions and room decor downgrade this review. Food choices and inspiration have declined but this may be because of the worldwide avaiability of produce.

Ok, but the customer service should be better for this level of the hotel... Only bar service,noone would bring your drink to you, the royal level had very limited and not super luxury choices when it comes to food.

The hotel rooms are a little dated in terms of decor, but you cannot fault the service, the food and drink or the attention to detail in and around the Royal Level. This was a trip away for my boyfriends birthday, which we celebrated whilst there. He received a bottle of Cava, chocolates and a gift from the Royal Level team and they had organised for a bottle of Cava to be served at dinner as a surprise. Very quiet in and around the hotel, due to current circumstances, but it didn't detract from our stay.

Stay for the New year in Occidental Royal level
Huge hotel, but still very good service. Hotel was very quiet due to the current world situation. Nice big rooms with a big comfortable bed, good pressure shower, and lovely views overlooking the pools and the beach. The rooms are a little bit dated, and could probably do with a refurb in the next few years. The minibar was completely free, and every time we returned to the room, there was a new bottle of Cava and chocolates. Lovely place, and stunning beach nearby. Would definitely return.

All ok still some details not that great: royal reception service never there, spa schedule incorrect, no one mentioned the shuttle for the beach was not available, it is not beach front, and gym never available as per processes hence it was always empty

The Royal Level pool and restaurant / bar are lovely and there was never any problem getting a sun bed. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Our room was in the main hotel and although comfortable it was quite dated and close to the theatre so very noisy some nights.

Hotel was very nice. We been upgraded to suite room, which was lovely. Staff was exelent. One small “-“ for not having iron in the hotel. There is ironing service in the hotel but take couple off days.

Only a short Stay in Royal level. Arrived late approx 1100pm and Royal level reception not opened. So had to use main reception. The young lady booking us in along with other who had just arrive (not Royal level) was conscious we were Royal level and tried to book us in whilst still dealing with other guests. The result was we did not get an overview of what facilities and extras we were entitled to as guest at Royal level. Hence we missed out on quite a lot since short stay and only learnt of other entitlements close to departure. s

I'd absolutely recommend the Royal Level for people travelling without kids who want a quiet break. The staff were all uniformly helpful and the facilities and location (v short walk to the beach) are fantastic.

Food needs to improve
Visited this hotel 4 years ago and enjoyed the experience so much we returned. The quality of the food is definitely not what it was. Food in the buffet was often luke warm or cold and looked tired. The a la carte restaurant food was large in quantity but poor in quality. The country themes in the a la carte restaurant were not a good reflection of the food of that country.

The hotel has two parts the royal level is adults only and is separated from the main part of the hotel it has its own restaurants and bars which are great. We loved it and would recommend to anyone, the area has one of the best beachs on the island and the sea view room which we stayed in was superb.

Magnificent location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel information says the beach is just 10 minutes from the hotel. This is slightly misleading as it takes 10 minutes to get down to the outer hotel gate and the beach is a further 10 minutes from there. This is because there is a conservation area between the road and the beach and you have to walk across to the beach on a dedicated footpath. The beach itself is absolutely stunning, just miles of sand and turquoise sea. As far as the hotel is concerned the food was very good indeed, we enjoyed freshly cooked fish or meat at mealtimes, there was also an extensive buffet and lovely salads were always available. The dessert table was too good to ignore! For breakfast there was always a good selection, fresh orange juice, Cava, beautiful pastries, plus the traditional full English if you wanted it. The hotel interior looked a little dated but the pool areas were delightful. Everywhere was very clean. The only downside was a lack of things to do in the evening. To remain in the Premium Club area there was really only one bar and that had football on most of the time, it also smelt heavily of disinfectant which, whilst an indication of cleanliness, did not improve the ambience. We could have gone along to the entertainment in the main hotel but that didn't really appeal. We felt it would have been nicer if the Atlantico Bar was open in the evening.

Perfect for couples without kids
First, the name on Expedia it is slightly misleading because it is not actually a separate hotel but a premium area of a much larger hotel, the Barceló Jandia Playa. This is not a bad thing at all but it might be confusing when giving the address to a taxi/bus driver. Other than that, our stay was fantastic. The premium area has its own reception with complementary champaign, fruit and orange juice, gated access to a beatiful swimming pool and jacuzzi area, buffet restaurant, etc... In addition, premium members have access to the Patio Canario where you can have a nice dinner a la carte instead of the usual buffet. The staff was always helpful, the place is really clean and everything in the minibar was free (although is not replenished, other than water, but thats's ok)

We booked the All Inclusive Premium package. This gave us access to Premium areas around the hotel which included swimming pools, restaurant and a bar. We checked-in at the Premium reception where we were kindly greeted and offered a drink. We went through the check-in process and were given plastic wrist bands to wear, which allowed hotel staff to identify us as "Premium" customers. We were informed that the mini bar was complimentary however whatever we drank from there would not be replenished for free. This was a little odd given that we paid for an All Inclusive package where we could eat and drink as much as we liked at the bars downstairs but not in our room where the drinks available were exactly what we found in the minibar. Our room had a beautiful view of the swimming pool and ocean. We could see as far as our eyes would let us as we gaze out towards the ocean. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner as the corners of the tiles were black. The room itself was very large The service at the Premium bar on the whole was fine apart from a rude bartender who had to be prompted more than once to get us a drink and peanuts. This happened on most days we visited the bar when he was working. The other staff were very nice and helpful. As lacto-vegetarians they only had beans and tomato as hot breakfast items. A la carte had soup, spaghetti and vol au vent every day which can get boring everyday, although the food was tasty.

It took us 30 minutes to walk to the sea! And - it is NOT close to the airport. It takes at least one hour to drive from airport to hotel. Otherwise, the hotel was brill.

short weekend break away in the sun, hotel was amazing, staff always friendly and helpfull, food was faultless, breakfast, lunch and dinner, hotel is about an hour away in a taxi from the airport, but well worth the extra travel time. the beach is at the bottom of the hotel and a short walk away, as is the town, both 15mins walk. i would stay again and i'm planning to again later in the year. many thanks to all at the hotel for making me so welcome.

The restaurant staff are good, the gym is a joke nothing is maintained and the equipment is old. The hotel needs to be modernised and the premium aspect needs to be re thought with limited options for food choices during the Xmas period. However the rooms are clean and the grounds very well kept.

Fantastic Stay!!
My girlfriend and I had an excellent stay at the Barcelo Jandia Club Premium hotel for my 30th birthday. The rooms were spotless, the staff always friendly, and the food was of a superb standard. The reception helped with finding and booking excursions (it can otherwise be difficult to find ones starting in the Jandia/Morro Jable area of the island). The champagne and chocolates left in our room on my actual birthday was a nice touch!

A wonderful week with the grown up family. Club Premium, all inclusive was a wonderful experience. The opportunity to enjoy a leisurely buffet breakfast on the terrace of Bar Atlantico - with so much fresh choice every day; followed by a stroll into the town and if you're feeling a little more energetic a walk on to the old town for a drink by the sea wall; walk back along the beach working up an appetite for a lovely leisurely buffet lunch on the terrace again; completing the afternoon by the pool, sunbathing and relaxing in the jacuzzi. What's not to love! The evenings were spent in the lovely a la carte restaurants followed by drinks in the 'Green Bar'.....the measures were at times a little large to handle however we tried our best :)). The facilities were second to none, I cant fault the hotel. We did have a concern with our airport transfer (booked shuttle bus didn't turn up) however the hotel staff were great and ordered us a taxi which arrived in 10 minutes and we were at the hotel quicker than if we had taken the shuttle bus..........something to remember next time. We met lost of lovely people, all of whom had nothing but nice things to say about the hotel, the staff and the facilities. Definitely somewhere we will be visiting again...sooner rather than later.....

The staff were outstanding in every way and made the holiday. The quality of the Premium food and drink were fabulous. The Green Room Bar was a real asset, measures very generous, all the best quality drinks. Overall I would recommend the Premium but not the normal hotel.

Very nice room, we paid for a suite and it was well worth it, stocked mini bar and huge jucuzzi bath, lovely sea view. The food in the premium areas / restaurant was superb and the staff excellent. We did have one meal in the main buffet and that was also very good. We were expecting a heated swimming pool to allow early season swimming but we're disappointed that none of the pools were heated to an appropriate temperature. The location is great and we would recommend a hire car from the airport to get around during the week. It is an hours drive from the airport but the good roads and light traffic make the journey easy. Would recommend the premium package.

Our objective for this break was for rest, which was achieved. However, it was disappointing to learn that the Club Premium is an area carved off the Barcelo Jandia Playa Hotel. At various locations guests are overlooked by Playa residents and it almost felt as though we were exhibits in a zoo. Some of the exclusive facilities were in the Playa so despite believing that we were going to an adults only resort we were surrounded, at times, by screaming children and stressed-out arguing parents. Whilst relaxing by the pool, at several times every day, music started blaring out in the adjoining Playa. If we had wanted to go to an environment with Kids Disco's and water aerobics we would have arranged to stay at that type of resort. Regarding the pool area itself, it was disappointing to arrive in the morning and find dirty glasses from the previous day and glasses and rubbish accumulating under the Balinese Beds. Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts and lunches at self-service Atlantico Restaurant. Disappointed with A-la-Carte Rincon Restaurant. The menu selection was poor and the quality of the food varied from night to night. It was understaffed and on some evenings when residents arrived simultaneously the staff where overwhelmed. The Friday evenings at Atlantico Restaurant were very sociable and enjoyable. The Bar Verde was comfortable and the service excellent. We did have reason to raise an issue with the manager whilst there, and was totally disregarded.

Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted by the lovely Premium Club rep (Angela) who welcomed us to the hotel with a much needed glass of cold bubbly and a quick debrief of the facilities. We soon realised the rather hurried greeting was due to the lunch sitting finishing only 20 mins after our arrival and she did not want us missing out on. All the staff were amazing, food was top notch, facilities really did enable us to relax and switch off for the week, stunning place!!

Best hotel ever, very comfortable and relaxing.
We recently stayed in this beautiful hotel/complex on Fuerteventura, more specifically the Premier (adults-only) side of the hotel, for a week. The reason we booked this hotel was not only its excellent reviews, but also the promise of comfort and peace (no crowds, no kids). We can summary our experience in just one word: Brilliant! Everything about the hotel is excellent, the rooms (spacious, clean and all comforts, with a view on the ocean), the facilities (great pools, access to the beach, different restaurants and culinary tastes to choose from, etc), and above all the very very friendly staff providing the best service we ever had at a hotel (and we have been at many). If you are a couple longing for comfort and relaxation, this is the place to go. What also has to be mentioned is the perfect organisation service (booking etc) by Expedia. Best holiday ever!

This is a premium section of an already good hotel. This entitled us to a separate upmarket pool area, separate restaurants with gourmet food and premium spirits includedin the all inclusive package. The food was exceptional and the staff very friendly. With our kids all grown up, most couples were in the 40-55 age range but there were younger couples, who felt very comfortable. We took a sea view room, which is absolutely required as the view is exceptional with the sea taking on different colours throughout the day. It was quite windy, but apparently that is the norm. We would go again.

We stayed for a few days on our honeymoon
And it was ok. Not stunning. The service was excellent though. Unfortunately the weather was rubbish, and because room service isn't included in the all inclusive, it was a bit annoying having to always go down to the bad for food and drinks even though the only viable place outside but out of the wind was our balcony.

Great Hotel
The best hotel I've stayed in in Fuerteventura in over 10 visits. Stayed Club Premium at the hotel - well worth the extra. The only negative is if you don't like fish you will struggle some nights but that's the same in most hotels here.
