This must be a relatively new hotel, as the property and room were in excellent shape. Especially loved having a walk-in shower. The hotel is located at the end of a street and the view from our west-facing room was pastoral. The check-in staff person was very friendly and efficient. The free breakfast is always a plus, and with lots of options. This was a very pleasant stopover on our way home.

This property seems as if it was recently renovated. Very nice, modern and clean rooms. Buffet style breakfast is as you would expect in other 3 star hotel chains. If you are staying in Visalia I would recommend this Holliday Inn Express.

This place is super misleading. I booked through Expedia and it said it would take a certain chunk of the payment when I first booked it to confirm my booking and then when we check in April 5th we would owe the remaining amount but they don’t say the first payment is just a pre auth so when we actually got to the hotel we ended up having to pay the full amount. No mention of a large holding fee on top of it. It wasn’t super clean or fancy and the elevator was broken you had to call to be able to take it down. Decor is old and outdated and the comforter feels like sandpaper with bad pillows. Our fridge never worked which sucks when you go out to eat and want to bring the leftovers back to the hotel. Staff wasn’t very friendly either

Room is spacious. Bed looks clean. We forgot to bring our toothbrushes and according to the sign, they’d provide them upon request. We went to the front desk to request it. The front desk receptionist (on duty at 9pm on 4/4) said that she couldn’t find any at the front desk and would ask housekeeper to get them and bring them up to us. We’ve waited for 1/2 hour with no show. I called down again and the front desk staff informed us that they were out of stock!! How irresponsible that they didn’t even care to give us a call to let us know. We checked immediately and found that Walgreen still opens but will close in 15 mins. If we waited for another 15 min, we’d have to brush our teeth with our fingers tonight and tomorrow!

The first room I had was dirty, shower had red mold! Turned onnthe heat and it smelled like spmethingnwas buring! I asked to be switched to another room, this room is actually clean. However the hallway smells like a wet dog. This is not the hoilday inn experience Im used too. If I would of know it was like this I would not of wasted my money to stay here. All holiday inns are not the same! Truly disappointed!

Staff was wonderful. The location was easy to find. Room was clean. The cons: coffee maker did not work in the room, so i was forced to mingle with people, just for a cup of coffee, before my cup of coffee. Also, had I not read closely while booking my stay, I would have been in a room with a twin bed since i was a single traveler. Not cool. I have not slept in a twin bed since my pre-teen years and that has been a long time. As an adult, I deserve a full sized bed, especially paying full room prices. But I thankfully read and did not end up in a room with a small bed.

Place was nice it smelled really good inside. Front desk was really friendly. And also there was a building next door that looked like an amusement center for kids.

This property is sadly starting to show its age. The plate that is with the shower head was out of the wall. The wall paper is starting to show wear and tear. We were moved to another room after we checked in because that room smeeled really bad like cigarette smoke. The room we stayed in had little hairs in the sink. The bed never got made just frsh towels. The hair dryer sounded like it was on its last leg. They only have 2 charging stations for electric cars so if they are taken you are out of luck. It happened to us on a Saturday night. The front desk staff were all very nice.

Home away from Home!
My family of 11 members stayed for one night in three rooms. We were all very tired coming from Sequoia National Park and needed a break from 2 days of driving and sight seeing. We arrived at around 6:00 pm and we were welcomed by the friendliest front desk receptionist! She was very helpful, putting us in rooms with 2 double beds that I have requested. She gave us all the information we needed for places to eat, buy food etc. Over all, it was a wonderful. restful stay with free delicious breakfast! Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and the best service during check-in, check-out and breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone, couples, family with kids, business people and solo travellers.
