There is a really really cute free kids playground and low-cost aeroplane exhibit & viewing platform about 10 minutes walk from the hotel (a great length for getting some exercise). It has a great cafe next to it as well.

Definitely see The Dom. Andreas Muschler chocolaterie patisserie - best coffee in Bavaria! Go as often as possible. Frau Schultze Schones and Feines - great coffee and beautiful gifts. Weihenstephan Biergarten - lovely location and great ribs.
