The front desk staff were helpful, courteous and amazing, especially Patrick! We rented the beach chairs from Travis, very kind, fairly priced, and accommodating!
We had dinner at Rita’s across the street! The wait staff was great, food was delicious and the live reggae music was very fun! Great trip!
Restaurant was very good! Friendly staff, close to lots of shops and places to eat and right on the beach! Only 2 elevators so waiting a long time to get up and down. Only 1 bellman on Sunday which nobody told us about so after waiting 45 minutes which nobody showing up we called again then it took another 45 minutes to track down. A cart to take stuff to car ourselves and it caused us to miss Mother’s Day brunch!

not my first stay here and typically it very pleasant. this trip has some hiccups (pool shut down & unexpected party on beach in front of hotel) that could have been handles more professionally by hotel staff
The Tides is situated right on the beach. Great views from all of the rooms. Nice restaurant on site. The staff was exceptional. Very welcoming and attentive. The room was good. Clean and plenty of room. The slider doors are older. Didn’t slide very well and the UV protection film bubbled here and there. But overall, great place to stay. Walkable to several good restaurants. Easy drive to Charleston and the airport.
Great location and lovely pool. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The property is aging and needs some updating but it gets the job done. No gym but beach is flat and runnable.
Arrived on 4/20 early. The room wasn't ready yet. We wanted to go into the restaurant and have something to drink while we waited. The host wouldn't let us sit in the restaurant outdoor area even though it was not busy. The cleaning staff did not understand the things we were asking for. The TV didn't work & had to be switched out. Only 2 elevators, 1 broke & there was a line of 20 or more people waiting to get on. The one working elevator was being used by cleaning staff making it very very slow. I asked at the front desk if they could tell the staff to wait moving their big carts around until the elevator was fixed. That didn't happen.

The Tides has many outstanding qualities. The view is superb. There is a small balcony that you can stand and watch the changing ocean rhythm. I upgraded to the premium oceanfront. The room and bath were updated. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was excellent. Check in was easy. There is a Starbucks coffee shop which was great! The restaurant was very good. Sitting in the covered patio area, watching the ocean and having a delightful meal was a perfect vacation.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. Everything was even more wonderful this time. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. It is the perfect beach get away!

We had to clean our own room when we arrived it still had trash on the counter tops and something sticky all over the dresser. For the price we paid we was very disappointed in the condition of the rooms.

The staff has to be commended.. I felt like they went over and beyond to be friendly and take care of our every need. The rooms were simple and nice and what I would expect at the beach. The property was well maintained and the restaurants and bars on the beach were unsurpassable.
