in Italy. It was not clean, the bed was terribly uncomfortable as were the only 2 extremely flat pillows we got. The bathroom was so small you could barely sit on the toilet, no warm water, and the shower had mold on the tiles. You could hear every noise in the hallways. It made for a very uncomfortable and unpleasant stay in a really nice city. The only positive was the initial check in concierge was kind and helpful and the location is convenient for walking the city.

The price was high for services received and a shared bathroom. The "breakfast" is vending machines and there is a charge for a clean towel before 5 days. It was OK for a two-day stay, but I will not likely return.

Great location, just a short walk from the train station and all the big attractions. Room was a good size, bathroom a little small but otherwise great. Check-in and checkout were a breeze!

We enjoyed our stay here, for the most part. The property is definitely older, and the bathroom was quite small, as is typical in such old cities. Such is the trade-off for the magnificence of Florence. The check-in was trickier than it needed to be, as the front desk is not staffed in the evening when, I imagine, most guests arrive. The hotel sent us the check-in codes the day of our arrival, which was unnecessarily stressful on a travel day without WiFi. It would be so less stressful to have had the check-in information just a few days sooner. Also, the lack of shower soap or shampoo was frustrating for a hotel. Otherwise, a lovely stay with reliable Internet.

Room did not smell clean, booking was not clear that it was a shared bathroom and “breakfast” was paid vending machines. From the images you may think your room has a bathroom but they are shared in the hall unless you book the suites. There is little done to reduce noise and you can frequently hear the other guests entering and leaving their rooms throughout the night. The beds are not comfortable and the AC did work properly.

We recently stayed at this property in Florence for 3 nights, and unfortunately, it was not up to our expectations. The property showed signs of aging and there was visible mold. Moreover, the showers were very small and shared among several guests. When we voiced our concerns and sought a refund, the management did offer us improved rooms with less mold and private bathrooms. While this was a considerate gesture, I would only recommend staying here for a single night, if at all.

There was nothing really to like, as seniors we require an elivator, all steps to the 2nd floor, shared bathroom out of the room, great for students. We did not stay and forfeit our stay.

Staff horrible (people on the door were unhelpful and rude, plug sockets don't work with standard EU adaptors (didn't tell us that in the e-mails), bathroom curtains covered in mold (as are the bedroom walls). Only pros are that the air conditioning worked. Even though this accommodation has a 1 star rating, I still expected a minimum level of cleanliness and comfort, both of which were lacking. A zero star rating would apply here.

The property was in a good location and easy to find food and shopping options nearby. The room itself was clean and tidy. The only Issue with the room was that none of the PowerPoints fit a normal adaptor, after messaging the reception twice (as not often someone is onsite) we still failed to be given an adaptor even after the reception promised us we could collect one (no one was ever at reception when we went down and we asked twice For it To be left in our room Or safe) Unfortunately the shared bathrooms were very tired and had terrible black mould. The hotel employees and managers never being onsite is very tricky and no help with suitcases up multiple flights of stairs was disappointing. Probably would not return.

Stay Away! I have never felt compelled to write a review until now. This is not a hotel. Borderline hostel! Room smelled like sewage. Bathroom filthy and tiny. Had to open shower to use toilet. No shampoo or soap. They want to charge 5 euro to change towel. No safety deposit box. Mosquitoes! Don’t clean daily. No toilet paper. Dirty walls etc…absolutely worst place I have ever been misled to stay.

Hotel sent the check in email to an Expedia email. Contacting the hotel was impossible until a guest advised us to use “what’s app” and gave us the number. When called, the first representative took minimal information and said they would send us the check in link. After about 20 minutes we still had no information how to check in. Texted them on what’s app as they requested from the call and got another representative who was minimally helpful but ultimately did get us the information we needed. The total process took over an hour. There was no staff for assistance during the designated times on their voicemail. The room is in dire need of up keep. Contacted the hotel because the remote for the TV was missing, not an issue for us, but didn’t want to be charged for something we didn’t have. The hotel said they would drop off a remote and did try to deliver one, however, it was close to 2300, we were already asleep and brought the remote for the AC even though I told them numerous times TV. Upon leaving, contacted the hotel for the check out process. No response as of 2 hours later. The hotel needs some serious help with customer service.

The place has an excellent location, walking distance to the train station, and to the church with the big duomo (Santa Maria Fiori). Dining options around the area were many. But, the room smelled like sewer. And I had bed bugs!!!

Wouldn't stay here. 5 or 6 out of 10. Rooms are small. Dirty. Odd furniture. Poor air circulation. Needs renovation big time. Bathrooms aren't in your room (I knew this going into it) but they are poor, not clean. Needs to be refreshed. One positive was the service of the staff is very good.

If you want a bare minimum experience then this hotel is for you. It is not an 8.2 star hotel as advertised. There is also a city tax that is not included in the price.

If you are just looking for a decent hostel in a good neighborhood and location this is it. Nothing fancy...shared bathrooms but clean and good, room and common areas clean, staff friendly etc.
