    Cheap Flights to Hong Kong

Despite a reputation as being an expensive holiday, tourists flock to Hong Kong year round in order to indulge in the vibrant charms and exciting natural beauty that this city is known for. Home to such fantastic and various attractions as the Sheung Wan District, Victoria Peak, and Repulse Bay, your options for excitement are nearly unlimited.

Best time to travel to Hong Kong

    Peak Season:

Hong Kong's peak season falls from March through April, and October to December. These periods can be chilly in the evening, but are delightfully bright and mild during the day, and because of this, tourists take advantage of the beautiful weather by exploring some of the outdoor sights.
For example, you can see the Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple, visit the Tai O village, or spend a day playing at Ocean Park.

    Shoulder Season:

Although there are large crowds during the Lunar New Year, the city is relatively quiet throughout January, February, and May. These months can be very cold, so most tourists go in search of warmer climates.
This being the case, flights and accommodation are cheaper than in the peak season, which is important, as these months are great for doing a bit of shopping at the Temple Street Night Market, or dining at the Pat Heung Kwun Yum Temple restaurant.

    Off Season:

If you have no qualms with a touch of humidity, the months of June through September are a great time to visit. Not only are flights cheaper, but you can also avoid the crowds while hiking through Lion Rock, exploring your way through Dialogue in the Dark, or viewing the Tien Tan Buddha Statue.

Although local buses are inexpensive, one option that is both cheap and quick is the Airport Express train, which takes about 24 minutes to arrive in Central Hong Kong. Taxis are also an option, but can be expensive for the budget traveller.
