Cute Little Cabin
The cabin is cozy and adorable. Close to the lake which is beautiful. The furniture, while old fashioned, was extremely comfortable. We spent a ton of time relaxing on the red couch! Had a few minor issues. The chain in the toilet kept coming loose, causing issues with flushing, and the water pressure in the sink and shower were near nothing. It was also extremely cold in the bedroom, despite us adjusting the heat, and the portable heater in the bedroom did not work. Overall, we seriously enjoyed our trip! I’d recommend this cabin to couples looking for a nice weekend to rest and relax!

A great 2 nights in MN!
Cabin was just what we were looking for. Something quaint and on a lake. Owner was very helpful with questions I had about the area prior to the trip and we even got to know their friendly neighbors. My favorite memories were early mornings on the dock with coffee and sitting by the campfire with a "non-coffee" drink listening to the loons. Kids loved being in a real log cabin!

Hidden Gem
We had the best weekend at Camp David! The cabin is a true up north experience, very rustic and charming. The lake is one of my favorite I have been to with crystal clear water and a very peaceful atmosphere. Wanda was excellent at communicating! We hope to be invited back in the future!

Pretty location but misleading pics
So while this cabin has lovely views of the lake and is a nice location there is a reason they don't have pictures of the bathroom. We were very disappointed with the unfinished bathroom (particle board walls, exposed pipes, sink with orange hard water stains, small lightbulb with cobwebs around it and no plug to use any hair dryer). We were in town for a wedding and had to use a friend's hotel room to get ready since our bathroom didn't have sufficient light or electricity. The bedroom wasn't cleaned well as evidenced by the Vicks vapor rub jar and kleenex we found behind our mattress and the wall. All in all a disappointment for the amount of money we were paying per night.

Great old cabin...

Thank you for choosing Camp David - the charm of this 1920's cabin is the "old school". Not too many like it anymore. Some like it - some prefer the new :) That's okay! We love to keep remembering some of the old ways of doing things.

Camp David review
Place was very cluttered and had cobwebs in several places. No place to put clothes or food. Had to live out of a suitcase. The dressers and cupboards were full of owners personal property. Place was listed as having air-conditioning but only had a window air conditioner In the bedroom that didn’t cool down the whole house. The furniture was well worn and very uncomfortable.

Kid Free Weekend!
Perfect little place to spend some time with the hubby. Beautiful clear lake that is large enough for fishing and still peaceful! Love the history in the cabin too! So grateful so have been able to spend some time together in the amazing red cabin.

There were a few bulbs out (they said they had spares but could not find) and it was a bit dusty (maybe from lack of use in the winter months), but these were very minor details in a very fun stay! This place was great and it was so beautiful here. Loved the cabin and it had all we needed. It was a relaxing time in a fun cabin. Thank you!

Amazing cabin by the lake
The cabin was very nice to stay at! Excellent, fast responses from the cabin owners who are friendly and cared about our stay. Perfect getaway for our family. Lake views are magnificent, and the dock is in good condition. Crystal clear water. The cabin is very warm and cozy, even in late fall.

Peace and quiet
Except for the weather, we had a really nice time. Lots of reading, fishing, and some hiking. Cabin has lots of history, a little rough around the edges, but the shower was always hot and we had everything we needed. The bonus of the dock and boat lift was awesome for us! Thanks for the memories!

Adorable cabin with excellent view of the lake and sunset. Comfortable and relaxing. When we stayed, there was a large storm that went through the area and the owner checked on us right away to make sure everything was ok.

Great little place to relax. We did just that! The interior is cozy and the beds were very comfortable. There is a nice dock and the water is crystal clear. Our son saw some big bass and caught some great sun fish right off the dock.

Excellent getaway!
This cabin was in a great spot. Beautiful lake with lovely sunsets and loons calling. Very cozy, with all of the things you might need, including floaties & beach towels! We enjoyed paddling around in the rowboat and watching the sunfish spawn under the dock. The lake was clear with few weeds. Great for swimming! WiFi speed & range was great! Would not have expected that, but was very nice to have in the evenings. Would definitely visit again!

Very Rustic Cabin
Cute little cabin with everything you need, on a nice little lake. The water was crystal clear. The loons were loud a clear. We got to get up close to a majestic bald eagle sitting at the top of a tree overlooking the lake. It was nice to get away and decompress for a bit. Thanks for sharing your cabin!

Wonderful anniversary vacation!
This is our 2nd trip to camp David. We had so much fun the first time we decided to go back for our 10 yr anniversary. We had a blast catching fish off the dock and swimming! We also took a boat ride out and got a close up view of the local loons :)

An easy, welcoming, getaway. A classic Minnesota "Up North".
Spent three days and nights on a wonderful lake with recreation and nature-scapes. Enjoyed kayaking, fishing on the lake/off the dock, and evening sunsets shining across the water while we prepared our campfires. Many area "spokes" to explore in Crosslake, Nisswa, Emily. Many "I remember when" moments with our young adult kids from their days, and ours, Up North. The cabin is cozy, clean, and comfortable with all the classic and modern (wifi/media) accouterments. It is a place to come together with those who have joined you. If you are looking for a Breezy Point-esque experience, go there. The owners/hosts exceeded our hopes at each turn. We felt at home and welcomed. A great place to exhale; we'll be back.

Great stay
Camp David works out great for us. I take my son and his 3 daughters fishing. The fishing off the dock is good and the surrounding lakes are very good. The girls love the loft to get away from dad and grandpa. This is our 2nd year at Camp David and hopefully not our last. We love it there. The accommodations are rustic, (it's a log cabin) but perfect for what we need. If you forget something, there is probably some in the cupboard or refrigerator. The owner is extremely pleasant to work with which makes it even better.

Great old fashioned Up North cabin
This cabin brought us back to our stays in the Pequot Lakes area in the 80's and early 90's! We loved the beds in the 4-season porch. You have to make the best use of a small amount of space. The lake is crystal clear. It would be fun to stay here during the summer and really take advantage of the outdoors!
