We stayed here as we had a wedding at bury court barn up the road. This hotel is great if you want something a bit different in a quiet village, the rooms are not massive but they are cosy with character and really clean, the bedding and towels smelt so fresh. I would definitely come back loved the room, pub and food, and the staff were really friendly....thank you.
What a find!
Stayed for one night as my husband was going fly fishing close by..
We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived..
The room was a good size, nicely decorated and the bed very comfortable.
Had dinner in the restaurant which was eccellent.
Good breakfast with friendly service
We had a comfortable room, with a spacious bathroom, at the front of the hotel. It was clean and airy, and was quiet at night for a good sleep. Breakfast is substantial, comprising cereals, toast and cooked breakfast if you want it. We were in the hotel two nights and each evening had dinner, which was excellent and well-cooked and reasonably priced. There is a comfortable bar for residents (and a public bar on the other side for locals) where we enjoyed a drink, or tea and coffee. We found the staff very friendly and efficient, and genuinely concerned to make our stay as enjoyable as they could. The hotel is so convenient for exploring the Devil's Punchbowl (being literally across the road from the car park and the National Trust shop) and was the perfect starting point for our walks.
