Room was only accessible by stairs. No flat surface I could roll my luggage cart down. Also one of those stairwells was rotted and collapsing and was taped off the whole time and was an eye sore they need to fix.

I have never stayed before, but had a pleasant experience. Check-in was very easy and the staff was friendly. The kids were really excited to go down to the beach, which was closed so we had to find a different one which wasn’t nearly as nice. But that’s not the lodge’s fault. Our key didn’t work when we got back to the room late at night, but was a simple fix to go have it reactivated ( I took great pains to keep it separate from keys and phone like they suggested at check-in). Breakfast was great, although they didn’t have any fruit options or pancakes/waffles. They did have French toast sticks, but my kiddos were picky. The stairs were out of order as they needed to be repaired in one area, so that made parking a bit tricky, but we just moved the car and used the hill instead, not too bad. I was expecting a minifridge in the room, I did not check b4 hand so that’s on me, I would just think it would be there since so many places have them these days. Overall we would stay again!

Booked this because of pool.since beaches were closed.but the day we arrived they didnt have pool open 10 hours to drain then next day hours to fill and get the chemicals corrected.Staff amazing,kitchen wonderful Chefs.The BEST thing Was Friday night having JD Shelburne on patio playing and singing his heart to all the fans

Very nice facility!
Love the lodge and the staff. Beds were comfortable, room clean. But, the dining room was closed when we were there. There are very few dining options anywhere within 5 miles. If you are staying more than 1 night, stop at the desk for extra coffee packs if you are a coffee drinker 😊

The dining and peacefulness was good for me although I could see that the groups they had on weekend evenings may be disturbing to some. It added interest for me. I liked seeing the small planes on the property. The main thing I didn’t like was that it was so far from any activities I wanted to go to or any other activity options. Also the blinking light and buzzing from the Wi-Fi unit between the beds was disturbing.

Nice cabins, very clean with all amenities. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. Area: water level of lake unexpectedly down; fishing ok (tournaments being held) but would recommend checking dam water release schedule if planning other water activities

I like the area by the lake. It was beautiful. It was peaceful. I am glad they had internet connection. The dining area was opened during the weekend. My family was not really happy with the breakfast food, for the price. They said the food was bland. The staff was friendly and courteous. Overall, I really enjoyed the resort.

A great getaway
Nice clean room with a great view of the lake. Meals are only available on the weekends so be ready for that and meals are not included with the room. The meals were delicious.

The property is very nice however very outdated. Not very clean bedding was old and had stink bugs in it granted it’s in the woods. The bedding felt dirty probably because it’s 100 years old. The couch and sitting chairs were cut and ripped just felt dirty not clean. Would be a great place if they spent just a little money on updating it and making sure their sheets were clean. There were hairs on the sheets that looked like someone had just slept in there.

The cottage was clean but the couch and chair material was cracked and peeling. The furniture needs to be updated. There was a broiler pan and another pan in the oven that were dirty and gross. At night it sounded like an animal was scratching from inside the wall. The next morning I walked around outside and saw a big hole at the roof. It’s probably squirrels bedding down for the winter. We were in cottage 213. I love staying at state parks, but this one needs some updates and repairs.

Beautiful property. A little dated, but amazingly clean! There wasn’t a fridge in our room. While that was no big deal for us, it may be for some. Staff was very kind. Little Dave’s will deliver out there and it was amazing pizza!
