Employee quite confusing. Had “NO VACANCY “ sign up but nobody around. Lots of Rooms with no bed linens on beds.stated she couldn’t answer any questions.

Thank you for the review! A motel can be at no vacancy for any number of reasons! There may not be enough staff available to clean rooms if someone was sick during or after a busy weekend. It's also important to consider that not every guest has a vehicle, since theirs are in the shop or they're visiting family, so empty parking lots are not a reflection of occupancy.

This property is extremely run down. Pictures show laminate flooring, our room had dirty carpets. There was a stain on the white bedspread. Walls, ceiling, bathroom, furniture, etc all felt dirty. There was trash on the floor, stuff from previous occupants in the fridge. We turned the heat on high, but ended up sleeping in our sweatshirts because the room was so cold. The lock on the door was wobbly and one of our keycards didn’t work. Unfortunately we arrived around midnight and prepaid on Expedia. We slept there but booked another hotel for our 2nd night, knowing I would not get my money back for our 2nd night. It might be a less expensive option near Eugene and University of Oregon…but it’s not worth it, stay somewhere else!

The rooms are dated and cheap. The bed was horrible. The biggest problem is their staff and attitude... And not everyone. Frank was very personable. My first and last interactions were far from friendly and since they were two different people, I'm guessing it's a management and/or ownership issue. My first interaction was so bad that I cancelled past of my stay to go somewhere else. Basically the same price but wildly nicer. There are far better options in the area. I recommend to stay steer clear of Village Inn and stay somewhere nicer. I won't be returning.

I do recall you coming in for your reservation and you stopped by very early in the day to check in, even though it is listed that check in time is 4pm; when this was relayed to you--and that you could return at 2pm for an early check in--you returned to your vehicle to cancel your upcoming stay. We're sorry that it did not work out for you this time, but we do recommend confirming motel details when making reservations in the future.

It is listed in the details of the motel that the pool is outdoors and seasonal, so we recommend visiting after Memorial Day to check it out!

Older motel, but staff was awesome especially the desk clerk. Very helpful even at 4am checkout. I apologize for not remembering his name. Rooms older, but clean. Not sure if AC works. Older unit, so just opened window.

Thank you for the review! We hope you'll stay with us again! While we can't do much regarding the street, we do have rooms located in our courtyard that are tucked back, so we'd recommend the courtyard view rooms on your next visit!

The sauna was broken and rec room bathrooms look like they haven’t been cleaned in a while with stains on the toilet seat. The trash in rec room was over flowing. There was broken glass in the rec room which we were warned of by front desk. If they knew about it why wasn’t it cleaned up? They shouldn’t offer this as an amenity if it’s so poorly ran down.

The bath tub did not work you could only shower because the stopper was broken. I never saw the pool spa or sauna they advertised as having

I stay at Village inn 1-3 times a year and usually stay between 3-8 days. Every time I’ve stayed I have had wonderful experiences with the housekeeping and other staff members except Anna. For some reason Anna always feels the need to change her tone and be unfriendly when I approach the front desk with my two kids. During my last visit Anna was at the front desk, I went to check in and another customer was ahead of me. Said customer requested very loudly to be moved as far as possible from “the kids” then proceeded to look at my kids and Anna verbally agreed with her. During my most recent trip, I had a wonderful conversation with the front desk receptionist and was glad to not have Anna. On my last hotel day I decided to extend my trip and when I went to the front desk I was met by Anna who was extremely rude, just stared at my kids the entire time I tried speaking to her and didn’t acknowledge anything I said and had a blank stare as if my children were causing a problem by just sitting in the chairs for guests. I love staying at Village inn but Anna is unpleasant.

We're sorry if you felt like anyone had any issues with your children during your stay, because we are a family motel and welcome all guests! With that in mind, however, if children are rowdy, some other guests may indeed request some space so that they can get some rest. We're always happy to hear our guests enjoy coming back, so please stop by the front desk again the next time you stay with us and we'll see if there is anything else we can do to help ease any tension there might be, since we want all of our guests to feel welcome.

We were put in the wrong style of room which was listed as cheaper than what we paid for. We brought up the issue and were switched right away by Frank, he was very professional and kind! We did find a hat and gloves in our new room that were left behind, but overall we had a decent experience!

We were greeted by a super friendly front desk worker! Parking was very convenient and the rooms are clean. The free amenities in the front desk area are a bonus and the area has lots of different dining options within a couple of minutes! I would stay here again next time I'm in town.

For an inexpensive option this is the place! If your looking for somewhere convenient, quiet and clean look no further. I was worried about the quality since it is considerably less expensive than some other places around but I was very happy with my choice. The staff was friendly and didn’t mind me coming by for coffee each morning and also accommodated but an early check in and later check out no Problems. If I’m ever back in Springfield I’ll stay again.

Rooms are very outdated and run down. The street traffic noise was very annoying. The walls are very thin, we could hear the occupants upstairs everytime they coughed or cleared their throat. Would not recommend.

It seemed to be an older hotel and not in the best part of town but we were fine during our stay. Of course, over $100 a night in this hotel, in my opinion, is more than what it should be. I don’t mind paying it if it’s a”nice” hotel but I don’t put this one in that category.

The Village Inn has been around for decades, so while it is an older motel, we do what we can to upgrade features as time passes. We are located on a main street of Springfield close to the hospital and are surrounded by lots of places to get food and groceries. There are cameras located all around the property and we have an agent available 24/7 at the front desk to ensure guest's safety. Our rates are always comparable to other motels in the area and typically cost less, especially when reserved directly instead of online.

This is a "hidden gem" in the Eugene OR area. We stayed one night but would say that any length would be fantastic. It is about 4-5 minutes from the I5 - no noise. Easy to get to. The desk guy "Frank" I think was very good and friendly, he makes sure you are fully informed and assumes responsibility for your comfort. Way to go Sir. The room was big and clean as the proverbial whistle. I believe they are all like that. Do not pass this one up. It is not Hotel 6, Or a poor Red Lion. It is better. GO FOR IT!
