"Everything was great except the $25 facility fee and $3.99 facility fee tax. I also wasn’t expecting the $100 hold for incidentals. Maybe it was all listed in the fine print."

The Dupont Circle Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Just a few little quibbles. The Pembroke lunch and dinner menus were trying too hard to be "fancy." Nothing under $16 for breakfast, and no burger for dinner. The Doyle was the other extreme; a desert at breakfast time (9:30?); has to track down the server. Having to call room service for ice every darned time was a drag. The TV selection could have been better. And I had real problems getting the in-room coffee brewer to work."

Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC/Georgetown Area

"Disappointing: Check in offered 1 hour after stated tine despite multiple requests for early check-in requests that began 23 hours prior to our arrival (1 message day before , 1 phone call 9 AM, another in person request at noon, then approaching desk again at 2 PM, tgen again 2 hours again at check in time at 3PM.) Manager was involved since 3PM and keys provided at about 4:00 PM or just after. Room a bit older in some aspects no hand held shower and cheaper quality soft beds. Associates at front desk seemed average but clearly unable to facilitate an on time check in nor could the manager despite our waiting for them. GOOD: Roof top overlook and Geoff’s restaurant."

Omni Shoreham Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This is a great location, just off Rock Creek Park, in a vibrant neighborhood but away from downtown. Convenient to the Metro. The area is well served by restaurants. In summer there is a terrific pool with ample deck space and lounges. During our stay we observed children and adults happily sharing the water. It is a large property, with lovely gardens. The front desk staff are helpful."
