"Nice cabin that was pet friendly. Had anything you needed to survive. Mosquitoes and nats were nasty but that was anywhere you would go end of May. Jeff and his dog very welcoming and friendly!!"

"What a great place! And to make it better, the property manager, Tracy and the owner, Joe, are wonderful people. So accommodating and friendly. Our luggage was delivered two days later, and both Joe and Tracy brought over personal clothing for us to use. It is a great getaway if you are looking for quiet and nature. Will definitely return!"
"Great VRBO experience at Loon Island on Shagawa. The cabin was as described and well maintained. It had everything we needed for our stay and then some. Rob the caretaker did a great job of setting us up and giving us the necessary information for our stay. It was a perfect distance from Grand Ely Lodge to make it feel like you were out in the wilderness but if you wanted to check out town it was just a few minutes away. Ely is one of favorite towns, and being able to enjoy the town and also get away in the evenings was quite enjoyable. Fishing was solid as well. Caught a little bit of everything and everything we caught was of average or above average size. Thank you Neil for sharing Loon Island with the rest of us. And thank you Rob for setting us up and showing us around. Can't wait to get back up and check out Shagawa soon."
