"Nice people location everything was great"

"First off when the cab driver dropped us off at the Hotel he told us that it wasn't the best area and to not wander around at night. The Hotel lobby is way to small to accommodate the weekend travelers. The have a downstairs area that is way better suited for check in. Rooms aren't available until 3pm which is not convenient when you travel from long distances. The biggest problem was the air conditioning. We stayed for 2 nights. The first night there was no AC. After complaining they brought industrial type fans to the rooms that were loud so no sleep. After asking when it would be fixed the said days to weeks. Left on cruise then had one more night because could not cancel reservations. AC was still not fixed. Some rooms it worked others it didn't. Sounded like the whole system needed to be replaced and they were just seeing who would complain So I would do not book at this hotel."

"I normally don't give reviews a second chance, but this place was very welcoming. There is a lot of construction happening around the hotel, but then again, it is the main downtown. We ignored the outside vendors and headed down to the plaza. The staff was amazing, the rooms, although small, were very comfortable, and after an 11-hour flight, we slept like babies! On our way back home, we stopped by for another night at the same hotel. We got in at 7 am, and check-in was not until 3. We just needed a place to store our luggage, but they had a room ready and were more than willing to let us check in with no additional costs. That allowed us to walk the town before all the other tourists showed up. The only issue that we faced was the loud slamming of the doors from other guests. It is posted on the door to "please shut the door gently," but some people do not read the postings. On my next trip to Barcelona, I will definitely stay here again!"
