"This is a wonderful place for family during the week!! We were celebrating the 21st of my granddaughter and we had 4 generations together. The sound of the ocean pounding is wonderful. GREAT air conditioning in the bedrooms, roomy accommodations, the little pool and tasty food from restaurant are top pluses about Johnny's Place. I will say on the street just passed the resort, it is a little sketchy, so do not advise going out at night. BUT inside the walls and right in front IS an oasis!! ...

"Wi-Fi didn’t work well in the room and only worked well in hotel reception. There was also no mobile signal in the area. To get there we had to drive through 87 speed bumps. Everything else was great. Hotel staff were very friendly."

"An absolute highlight of our trip, I could not recommend Marabella eco lodge more. The staff were helpful and friendly, the food was incredible, and the beach was right at the door step. We loved meeting Marta Elena, the cat, and Ginger, the dog, apparently there was another cat we weren’t lucky enough to meet. Only a short walk down the beach brings you to Cecon, a nature reserve where you can see iguanas, turtles, and crocodiles where they are looked after by some amazing volunteers before...

"We had such great experience the staff alone went beyond after check in. The experience of having all inclusive from unlimited drinks, food, pools was amazing. Everything was well maintained and clean my favorite part of it was the Hawaiian show and the game night. The fact that Expedia provided an amazing rate made it a night to remember. "

Only a short walk down the beach brings you to Cecon, a nature reserve where you can see iguanas, turtles, and crocodiles where they are looked after by some amazing volunteers before being released back to the wild! A little further down the beach and you reach a shopping strip where we had cheap and delicious food. The black sands were everything I hoped to see, a little rough for me to go past my knees but that was fine as the pool was perfect to have a splash. There was nothing I could fault. I’m already dreaming of our return one day."
