"Upon entering the property, I immediately noticed a moldy smell and unpleasant odor. I initially ignored it while bringing in our belongings, but I quickly discovered multiple cleanliness concerns. The A/C unit was visibly dirty, the refrigerator was not clean, several areas inside the property had not been properly cleaned, and the floors were filthy. To make matters worse, a roach crawled across a Publix receipt I had placed on the counter.I attempted to contact the host through the VRBO app and received no response. I called the listed number with no answer, waited an hour, messaged again, and still heard nothing. About 30 minutes later, I called again and finally reached the host. I explained the condition of the property, stated I would not be staying there, and requested a refund. The initial response was defensive, explaining that she pays a cleaning company and pest control company, and that I would need to contact VRBO regarding a refund. She later apologized and requested photos be sent to her personal phone, which I did, but I received no follow-up response.VRBO informed me they needed to contact the host before proceeding with a refund, but she did not respond to them either. I ultimately had to follow up with VRBO again the next day to resolve the issue. Had the situation been handled professionally and promptly, my experience may have been different. Unfortunately, due to the cleanliness concerns, poor communication, and handling of the situation, I cannot r"

"I stood 10 days there and I loved it..single dude and peaceful Great fishing spots , great pools , very laid back and peaceful Restaurants are great little pricey but great service Gym is clean and updated I highly recommend..I left because the memorial day rush and rooms are more expensive..cant wait to come back..great vibes ..very peaceful Walking is the plus .. great security.. very safe Room was super comfortable and clean Don't stay in room 214 ..its smells like cigarettes bad"

Beach Happy Getaway!

"Nice community, pools, etc. The room was dated and needs an upgrade. The couch is so used it doesn't have any stuffing left in it. The place felt dirty and really needs to be updated. Blood on sheets, nasty mop left in the only closet. I've never stayed in a rental that didn't leave coffee pods for guests. Also, there are spotlights right outside that light the room up all night; it felt like morning all night. Good luck sleeping. "

"Carmen was extremely responsive and her emails very helpful. One of the things I am most grateful for, is that since we were driving up in the morning from South Florida (about 5 hrs) to go to a 11:30 AM wedding on the beach, Carmen generously allowed us to check into our room earlier than the standard 4 PM, so we didn’t have to freshen-up in a Walmart bathroom before the wedding. So, we were extremely grateful for the early check-in. The room was neat and clean, and adequately supplied for our 3 night stay. We saw the dolphin and manatees from the balcony and parking lot. We did not really explore the area of Ruskin so I cannot comment. Thank you, Carmen! Oh, one more thing: Somehow, I forgot to bring our coffee — so we were very grateful that Carmen had supplied a package of coffee for us to use that first morning. Then we were easily able to go to Publix and Walmart and get coffee. Thank you, for the coffee, Carmen!"
