In need of updating and modernisation the beds need changing. And the neighbours with barking dogs till midnight and through out the night.

Nice hotel excellent staff and wonderful breakfast. Town has much to see was very surprised beautiful historic church and walking park! We stayed here to be near to Edinburgh but without the cost. Absolutely perfect 👌 choice!

Hotel excellent - let down by hotels.com
Stayed for 3 nights - very good with one let down - see end… Would recommend. Positive - The hotel was good value, easy to park, very caring and friendly staff. 30 minutes train to edinburgh, clean, bright, breakfast good, decent wifi… Less good - breakfast - coffee was not great, guess it was milk powder and pre-ground coffee - eggs a little salty. Specially supplied vegan sausages were awful but at least they tried. But as it was included in price I guess fine. The let down - Booked with a dog via hotels.com - staff unaware. Charged £25 for the stay because “this is policy” - read the small print I guess - although it had changed since we booked - Would have hoped management had some flexibility but nope. Weirdly we were told the manager had shown us this but they hasn’t till we raised the next day. Apparently holiday inn express is a franchise so although York was fine this is the Atlas group - IHG are you aware? Tip - there are some interesting restaurants nearby like christies - for some reason google did not regard these as a restaurant but did regard them a scottish restaurant.

I night at Holiday Inn Express Dunfermline
Good location, easy to find, plenty of free parking, room was good, two single beds, fresh and clean, bathroom reasonable sized. Hotel quiet at night. Good buffet breakfast with choice of cooked food and bakery products. Would certainly stay again

Nice stay for a couple of days
Clean and spacious room with large shower room. Bed/pillows too soft for my taste but otherwise good. Reasonable breakfast selection. Breakfast area not big enough when the hotel is busy and everyone decides to come down at the same time as they did on our last morning. Everything running out. However staff did remarkably well and once they were alerted something else had run out they replinished it quickly and still with a smile!

Room was fine for a one night stay. Not a very big room but it was OK. Breakfast was fine - not a huge choice but sufficient. Hot foods were tasty.

The hotel was just ok, mattress has seen a lot of use and sags in the middle. £3.90 for a lime and soda water 'robbery', the most expensive holiday inn for drinks I have stayed in

Nice easy access from the motorway and lots of parking Second visit here and just as good as the last visit Swift check in and friendly staff We had room 10 which was spacious,warm,good shower and comfy bed Breakfast was self service and good quailty Would stay again

Perfect!!!
Wonderful stay, friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was beautiful and fresh. Comfortable room and perfect for our needs. Our son is in a wheelchair which we mentioned when booking, We had an email within 15 mins of booking to state they had given us a wheelchair accessible, ground floor room. Customer service perfect from start to finish

Very disappointed with my stay this time The tv didn’t work at all ( no signal) There was a huge double bed for my 6year old grandson, which left no room to navigate to the window, we had to climb over his bed to get to it which was dodgy for a 70 year old. Breakfast was somewhat disappointing as there was no hash browns, limited bacon. So that was what it was like stayed there this weekend. Regards Thomas Mackay

Really handy for Queen Margaret hospital. There’s an Asda over the road with a McDonalds otherwise you’ll need transport or eat in the hotel. Breakfast in the hotel good enough. Car parking is included.

Reception staff very polite and efficient.We booked a room for 4,with 1 big bed and a sofa bed.There was no pillows or duvet for a sofa but after approaching a member of staff we got it straight away. Otherwise no problems at all.Thank you for your hospitality
