The room is small like Ibis hotel room and it doesn't have any amenities like hotpot (kettle), coffee making stuff or tea bag and cups or glasses, etc. The breakfast in the morning has nothing to rave about and the coffee tastes horrible. The hotel interior looks very dark and tired. There is a spider in the restroom crawling at the corner of the ceiling above the mirror

First time to stay here, it's right on the edge of Mettmann coming in from Dusseldorf. It's showing its age but the two nights here were quite all right. The breakfast was decent and the service personnel at the restaurant was friendly. There are also two supermarkets within 5 min walk.

Older hotel that could use some updating. Carpet is a little dirty. Very 1980s. Nice service. I’m sure if I wasn’t here for a trade show, rates wouldn’t have been outrageous. Pretty far from the convention center so staying here will not save you money. Very nice staff.

Dirty room, the bathroom was not cleaned. In the morning, I could see how the maids were keeping the sheets on the floor. Really awful to see that one of that sheets will be put in your bed. 😔 would definitely not recommend it.

I will stay clear of this hotel.
I’ve never been to a hotel that has no air condition or cold air coming from vents. It was so hot I felt like I was dying. I was given a small rickety fan to use and when I called Hotels.com it couldn’t be sorted out. I was promised a call back the next morning but heard nothing back. This has been the worst experience I have ever had in my life and will never be using the hotel again.

Good hotel with great service - rooms a little basic but perfectly adequate. Rooms could have been warmer, though - it didn't help that the maids left the window open each day, when termperatures outside were below zero.

Make sure you want to go to Mettman
The hotel is nice. You need a car to get to restaurants around the hotel. The buffet is pricey and the variety is the same every night. The bar area is nice with a huge tv and it was fun getting to know about soccer. The listing said they offered laundry service. I gave 3 loads of laundry and cost me 300 Euros. It would have been cheaper to buy new clothes. I thought the name Dusseldorf Mettman meant that it was close to Dusseldorf. After a taxi and train we arrived in Dusseldorf. The shower was extremely small and I never learned how to adjust the heater. The staff was very nice.

Having to ask for tea/coffee making facilities is becoming a little tiresome, but then having to get your own cups, and tea/coffee, milk etc. is stretching things; especially as other hotels in the chain supply these without being requested. Breakfast on our first morning was very much "hit or miss"; the were obviously a lot of people resident, and insufficient staff to ensure all the usual breakfast options were being replenished. This did improve over the next couple of days; but in November/December they often have bus parties resident, and this issue needs addressing before then. The rooms are always very hot, even though we turn the heating right down, maybe some form of air conditioning system could be incorporated, or simply reducing the thermostats !

We go to euroshop In Duesseldorf down town
MeTaman away 45min by bus from Duesseldorf down town, 25min by taxi he charge us way to go 48euro and back 48 or 50euro to the euroshop area another 20 to 25 euro!!! Must not tell : Wyndham Garden Düsseldorf Mettmann - It Only Takes A Minute it is a!!!!!!!?????? It not Düsseldorf it is a town very far away we spend more then 800 euro taxi!!!!!

Modern business Hotel
This is a typical business hotel on the outskirts of Duesseldorf. The rooms are clean and tidy, the bathroom has all you need and the noise level is low as well. Perfect for a short stay. However - if you want to visit Duesseldorf it is advisable to come by car.

Nicely furnished hotel without air conditioning
This hotel is northwest of Dusseldorf about 15 kilometers from the Aldstadt in the town of Mettman. I was disappointed to discover that the hotel did not have air conditioning upon my arrival on a day that was very hot. I did not bother to check on that when I booked the room, I just assumed that all hotels have air conditioning and for the first 2 nights I had difficulty sleeping in the heat. At least they had a fan that I could borrow for a deposit of 20 euro which helped. Thankfully by the third day the weather had cooled. The hotel was nicely furnished and had a nice restaurant with a bar. The breakfast was very good and there was a lot of items to choose from. The internet signal was not available in my room and I had to go down to the lobby to receive a signal. The hotel offered to move me to another room but I declined. The free parking was nice because if you stay here you will need a vehicle to get around as there is not much there. Only a few restaurants (mostly fast food including a McDonalds) within walking distance. There is a grocery store very close by but not much shopping unless you travel downtown.

Basic single room, few frills.
Only slept one night and didn't use any of the facilities. Simple single duvet. Bottle of water in room wasn't complementary. Room a little too warm. Opening window would have allowed traffic noise in.

Definetly not 4 star - mediocre 3 star! Small rooms - no bathroom amenities including no soap on first day...second day there was hand soap in the shower instead of shower/bath liquid soap! Positives are breakfast open till 11 am everyday and free parking

Good clean hotel 10 miles, 45 minutes from the city centre on the 738 bus (Two Euros Fifty one way) from bay 11 at the Haupotbahnhof in Dusseldorf which stops right outside (by the Peckhauser Kreispolizelbehorde bus stop). Aldi, Rewe & McDonalds are nearby and town centre is about 30 minutes walk away or again you can go on the 738 bus again. Aldi, Rewe & McDonalds are very close by. Town shops seem to close early or completely on Saturdays Breakfast had a great choice of meats, cheeses, rolls, croissants etc and hot & cold drinks. Rooms similar to Travel Inn - clean and comfortable. As seems to be usual with German & Austrian hotels the pillows collapse to nothing so you may need to use the spares. Free Wi-Fi - but you have to get a card for each device from reception each day to use. Hotel staff were friendly & helpful. Hotel was easy to book, find and check-in

Could have done better
The location is good away from hustle and bustle, good connections to roads and transport. From outside hotel looks very nice and classy. However the room we were given was very small. The room was grimy and dirty. The curtain a were torn. Overall ambiance was missing and very poor. Amenities mentioned steam room (not working) only a small gym and sauna were working so very basic. Breakfast had a limited choice specially for vegetarians. Overall for the size and outward appearance the rooms amenities and services cod be improved a lot

Nice Hotel Location, Lacking Services
This hotel is located conveniently in Mettmann, not too far from the town and a close drive to Dusseldorf. They have a nice sauna and good meeting facilities. I came to this hotel for business and to spend a few days catching up on work. Unfortunately, I was not able to do this because of their lack of Internet service. The rooms are a bit small, but otherwise German standard. The big problem is their "free WiFi" DOES NOT WORK, even on multiple devices (iPad, PC, droid phone, etc.). After several days in the hotel, they were unable to get it working. The only option was to work in the lobby with a cable. Even after the front desk staff promised to have the system reset multiple times and to talk with management, nothing happened over several days. They kept giving me new passwords, but this was not the problem -- I could not even access the screen for passwords. It was a "hot" issue discussed in the sauna by other guests with the same problems. A business hotel without working WiFi means it is NOT a hotel that can be recommended. In this day and age, it is simply unacceptable.

The Hotel was a bit far away from the centre of Dusseldorf, where we wanted to spend more time. It took almost an hour on the bus.

Terrible service and rude aggressive staff
The staff from the front to the bar were rude aggressive and generally unhelpful. The bar staff were rude and put out by having to serve us. They booked my taxi booked for the incorrect time at 0515 instead of 0545 although I was a awake when the wake up call came the awful male receptionist persisted in arguing with me and wouldn't agree to ask the driver wait. I was down in 20 mins and luckily the driver waited. The male receptionist then persisted in aggressively pointing the time the taxi was booked and I had to ask him to stop being so aggressive. He then shrugged his shoulders and said I haven't asked the driver to wait, the driver had waited and was clearly not concerned about the wait. The male receptionist then deliberately took a very long time to check me out and even tried to argue that my credit card was not working. Despite having printed a receipt which had cleared the amount due he tried to ask for another credit card which I refused. Overall the experience left me feeling extremely unsafe. I will not be recommending this hotel or staying here again.

Distance from Airport adds to the Cost
This hotel was the first budget option that came up when I looked for one close to the Dusseldorf airport. We spent the same amount on cab rides to and from the airport as we did on this Best Western motel for our one-night stay, effectively doubling the cost. It wasn't a nice enough hotel stay to justify this travel. Surely, the total cost of travel to and from the airport plus the cost of the room is equal to staying at a nicer hotel, closer to the airport. This just wasn't worth the cost.
