Very comfortable beds, especially the pillows. Terrace area for breakfast was beautiful and the range of food excellent although the fruit offering could have been better. Fabulous Spa and sunbathing facilities and even at busy times, sun loungers could be found. Sea swimming excellent but the pools were a little small due to the rock face restrictions. Lunchtime menu was adequate. The evening menu was excellent but top end of price range. There was a frequent bus service into the old city which made the hotel conveniently placed. Staff very pleasant indeed. I stayed with my two daughters, both in their 20s and we all would consider staying there again.
We stayed at The Lafodia Sea Resort at the beginning of October 2014 on our honeymoon. The weather was perfect sunshine everyday, the island is so peaceful, the people so friendly. The hotel was gorgeous, we stayed in a master room on top floor with wrap around balcony and a hot tub! The views are amazing from where ever you are on the island. We were bed and breakfast in the hotel which was good and this allowed us to sample the restaurants on the island. Highly recommend "Obala" wonderful fish and fillet steak and a very helpful waiter. The pool is lovely although a little cold, the hotels beach has small pebbles/shingle but really not a problem. Walk over to Sunj Beach on the other side of the island or jump in a golf buggy if you're feeling lazy. This is a sand beach with a rustic beach bar/restaurant, sunbeds and toilets all you need for a chill out day at a very beautiful beach, get there early before the day trippers. Get the ferry to Dubrovnik, it takes an hour and you get to see some of the other small islands on the way. Cost about £4 each return journey. Dubrovnik is an amazing city, highly recommend the cable car later in the day to watch the sunset...this was one of our highlights. We have only been home a couple of days and are still so overwhelmed by how stunning Croatia is. We are so happy that we visited Lopud Island for our honeymoon, its a special place that we want to keep as our secret but can't stop telling everyone to go!
was a lovely surprise to actually find a hotel better than you expect ... In every way .. its location , facilities , proximity to the old town ( walkable ! ) and quiet enough to relax on its own private beach .. All the staff were amazing and there for whatever you need and nothing was too much trouble . I cannot recommend this highly enough .. I would certainly give this hotel an excellent all round !

We really enjoyed our stay. It was our first trip to Dubrovnik, and the hotel was a superb retreat and very pleasant place to stay. The help was kind, helpful and low-key in all the best ways ( assisted with bags, recommendations for sightseeing, taxi service, ice for a gift of champagne, Fex Ex help) and the setting of the property is superb. We will return.

We stayed in room 591 at Villas Mlini which is adjacent to the much older Asteria Hotel. The Villas are new and very modern. 591 is front row on the bay. The view is amazing. Very tranquil. Small beach platform area just below the villa, 1 minute walk through the complex to the sandy beach. The villa is compact, modern, very clean, quiet, and has two floor to ceiling windows so you can relax in bed with the great view and in the living-room too. Small kitchenette is useful to prepare your own coffee etc. We loved it and would return in a heart beat. Restaurants abound within in a couple minutes walk along the front. Pool area gorgeous and well kept. Only complaint, no pool towels, so bring your own. All in all, wonderful experience.
We were made to feel welcome before we even arrived with an email telling us how to get there and where to park. On arrival, we were greeted by the friendly owner who speaks little English but immediately phoned Petar, who came over, showed us to our room, asked what we were interested in during our stay and sent us a very informative email the next day with lots of useful information. The apartment was very clean and spacious, the kitchen area is small but extremely well-equipped, although in the end the nearby restaurants are so reasonable we always ate out, and the view from the balcony is amazing. We were offered clean towels during our stay, and we were always greeted with a smile morning and evening, making us feel very at home.
