Excellent Value

Room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful. Wi-fi is advertised as being available in-room, but we had to go to the lobby to get a usable signal. Although the breakfast buffet was not included with room, we tried it one morning and found it OK but nothing special. There are a number of good restaurants near the hotel. Nice location along the Grand Canal. We would return.

Fantastic place to stay!

The hotel was beautiful, much moreso than I'd expected from pictures I saw online. We had a canal view room, and nearly everything in the city was within walking distance. For the price, it was well worth it! We could have stayed in a hostel for nearly as much per night, but I'm sure it wouldn't have been as nice and relaxing. A great choice for anyone traveling to Dublin.

horrible staff

This was a very crappy hotel! The staff were rude and very unhelpful. The imenities were bad as well! I would never nor would I reccommend anyone to stay there again!

What to expect: Housed in a modern building converted to a hotel in 1995, the Mespil Hotel features contemporary decor throughout. Attracting mostly business travellers during the week, guests enter a spacious glass-fronted lobby upon arrival, decorated with bright and soft colours and fresh flowers throughout.

Amenity highlights: With large windows overlooking Mespil Road and the Grand Canal, the Glaze Bistro offers an à la carte menu with Irish and international influences. Carvery lunches, draught beers and a range of spirits are served in the Terrace Bar. An informal bar service behind reception serves drinks until late.

Insider tip: The Royal Dublin Society, founded in the 18th century to promote Irish arts and industry, today runs a large concert hall, outdoor arena and convention centre. Located within a kilometre of the hotel, the RDS complex hosts major business events, sporting tournaments including the Dublin Horse Show, and concerts by major international artists.
