The hotel rooms were basic, but comfortable. Staff was very helpful. I wanted to change rooms after the first night to match my original request and they were accommodating. There was a slight smoky smell to the rooms and available ash trays. Breakfast was not really to my taste, but there are lots of restaurants near by. The noise from the street could be disturbing for some, but was not a big deal for me. Proximity to the metro station and price were the reasons I chose the place and I was not disappointed. I might stay there again.

Its an okay hotel near the metro station
The main problem was the the windows were badly fitted and were thin enough to hear every single bloody sound outside. There is a building under construction right next to this (20 meters away). They start their work at 6. I think only once i was able to sleep peacefully. Hotel was cheap and at good access point to a big metro station and a bus station. If locations matters to you more than sleep than this is the place for you! :D

The hotel is was at a prime location near Al-Riqqa street and right next to tube station. Food was nice and there are many other food options near the hotel

Freezing cold room
Nearby construction site noise was disturbing at early hours in the morning. The air conditioning grill was directly above bed. Froze in bed during the two nights stay. Requested repeatedly for management to turn AC off which is remotely accessed on exterior of building as I was informed, but nothing happened.

Panorama Deira Hotel - Central Location
Good central location; close to metro station, bus stations and abra station. These are all located within 5 minutes of the hotel, which should be better marketed. Hotel is also right next to al guraraira shopping centre and spinney supermarket which again can be better marketed. most staff were friendly except for Jaya. she didn't acknowledge us once as we entered and left the hotel. on top of that, when we did need to deal with her she was extremely rude. she didn't even wish us goodbye or tell us she looked forward to our next stay etc when we checked out. needs lots of customer service training. the rooms were clean, apart from lots of sand-flies in the toilets and 3 cockroaches (1 in the elevators and 2 in our room). bed sheets were clean, duvets in need of a dry clean. tv socket was loose so when I first turned on tv, no channels played. I then checked the plugs, otherwise I would have had no tv for the week had I not thought of that. the bathroom was a decent size. both the shower holders pointed the shower head in an angle that made them of no use. the shower curtain needs changing. water from the shower leaks onto the floor from the top right corner of the bath tub. the table drawer knobs inside the room need tightening, which can be done with a simple flathead screwdriver.

Great Location - walk to Union station
Hotel location is very good, specially if you dont want to taxi too much (traffic jams). Breakfast was good. Staff was nice to us in serving b/f early morning at 5:30am (we had to leave for airport at 6am). There is this hotel staff - FAISAL, he is a nice energetic helpful person who knows Dubai and will assist you with all tours and sightseeing trips. We were here with family for 2 nights. Seems that this hotel has a night club (I did not know earlier), but no issues as long as nothing is obivious. Rooms are old (needs makeover). For this price it is still ok. Lots of eating places around this hotel. Hotel to Airport cost Dhs 20. Overall, no complains. If you book thru Hotel.com you may have to go thru Hotel.com as the front office will not make any changes.

Value for Money
The Panorama Deira is a good, budget hotel for those who need a place to sleep and store their belongings while visiting Dubai. Being an older hotel, it lacks the facilities of more expensive ones, and the decor is rather dated. The plus side is it's great location near the Union Metro Station, easy airport access and having a wide range of food outlets in the vicinity. I'd be happy to stay there the next time I'm in Dubai.

An awfull experience At the worst hotel I ever see
Old building with awfull dirty curtains, leaking water I the bathroom , bad flushing ,There is no way to control or switch off the AC . It was a freezing night. I called the operator many time and the maintainance never came to switch it off as they promised.

You get what you pay for. It is true the hotel is old, but staff is really helpfull, breakfast is good and you get a bed where you can sleep well. After if you to have a look about the details, have also a look about the price. When i booked it, it was one of the cheapest one and I am not sure to pay something more expensive, I would get something really better. Once again thanks to the staff

Do not believe the pictures. It is very old and run down and needs some serious up dating. It is close to the metro train station. It is better to stay somewhere else. The staff that worked there are very nice. I would not recommend for anyone to stay here. The walls are very thin and you can also here the music if you happen to get a room above the club. Pay the extra money and stay somewhere else.

Location very good, all type of shops very close, Union station very close.Dubai Metro very good and cheap. Hotel is basic, if you just want to sleep than it is OK otherwise no way it will be a good experience. Bathroom is third world standard, may be worse. When I arrived room was not ready, waited 20 minute. Room air con is less effective than corridor. Staff very friendly with me as I can speak their language, all of them are migrante worker, guest tip top their wages. Room TV very very disappointig, say no more. To sum up with Famaly with children from UK it is NO NO but if you want to save money, just want to come back at night to sleep than it is perfect .

The staff at reception are rude, my friend called few days before to confirm my internet booking, they couldnt find me. Next they said they would pick me up so provide flight details, driver was late arriving 30 mins after- then they demanded i pay them even though i didnt order a pick up and they didnt tell my friend its chargeable. 1 man at reception said calling mobiles is 1 dh per min, on my last day the rude philipino lady gina said 3dhs per min? When she even told me on day 1 its 1 dh per min. Hotel room was ok, 2*, nice large bed, tv with few channels, fairly clean. A/c central needs to be controlled from reception! Its ok for a budget stay/ just somewhere to sleep. Otherwise, the service was terrible. Wifi is expensive 15dh/ hour, better to go starbucks down the road and get a drink for 12 with 1 hr free. Opposite union station (3 min walk)

Not a very good Hotel
They need to rehabilitate the hotel. Smells old. They also need to provide bus shuttle without charge for those shuttling to & fro the airport which is quite close. In this day & age I think wifi should be made free & cost generally built into the hotel rate.

For a cheap hotel in Dubai i was happy enough, the room was clean and the location was ideally right next to a metro stop. The breakfast was awful, they didn't bring what i asked for, and were out of half the items at 7am, an hour after breakfast starts, and the shower was just about adequate. But as i say for a cheap stopover for a student it was fine. Internet (surcharge) was important, and the connection was also fine. I wanted a clean room to stay with internet, i got that, but that was all i got.

Panorama Hotel, Deira, Dubai.
For the price and location, this is an excellent choice. The hotel is situated across the way from Union metro station which means you can get anywhere in the city (it takes roughly 15 minutes via metro to get to the Burg Khalifa and Dubai Mall. From the airport, it is literally four stops on the metro to Union station. It is a five minute walk to Dubai Creek from the hotel and a further 15 to the Deira markets. Deira (the area in which the hotel is situated) is quite a vibrant (and safe) suburb with many cheap restaurants serving huge portions of Pakistani, Indian and Iranian food. This is a budget hotel and it does lack a certain attention to detail; however, the rooms are spacious and the staff are friendly. Ask the receptionist when checking in to give you a room on the top floor to avoid noise from the bar next to the reception! If you are looking for a luxury hotel such as the Burg al Arab to go along with your beech holiday, then this hotel is not for you. It is a budget hotel and good value for money; it is an excellent base from which to explore the city.
