Great hotel in central Torquay. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and it seemed every effort had been made to meet guests needs. Highly recommended and we look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

Lovely hosts Liz and Paul. Room 7 was beautiful and clean. Well located for town centre 10 minute stroll. Great breakfast. Only 2 on site parking spot's but plenty on street close by.

I chose this hotel specifically because it claimed to have a private (though limited) car park, but on arrival discovered the tiny parking space at the back of the property is used by the owners alone. I was shown a map of the area and told to go and find off-street parking. It took me half an hour to find a space, which ended up being very far from the hotel on a street where two cars close by had they tyres slashed, so I worried for the duration of my stay. I also had to change my plans and did not use the car during my stay as I was too worried I would not find another parking space. The room and bathroom were very clean, but very small for two people and with a lot of traffic noise at night. Breakfast was mediocre. The distance to the seafront was the main highlight.

Elizabeth & Mattia, We have to say this is the worst review score we have ever had here. It is unfortunate that you did not have the foresight to read the facilities provided or the information we provided after you had booked. This may have helped alleviate your issue with the car. In response I would like to remind you that we advertise limited onsite parking, we also send a welcome email with a detailed map of where you can find local on street parking very close to the hotel, in addition, when you asked me where you can park, I showed you the map and also told you that if you had any issues either myself or my husband would be happy to get into the car and help. I can also confirm that our car was parked on the roadside for the duration of your stay as we always leave our parking spaces for our guests to use, and we have never had to walk any further than a couple of minutes to our car. After returning from parking, your comment was that you had passed 2 spaces but you weren’t confident enough to park in, you did not mention the slashed tyres (I am dubious about this comment, we are in Torquay… not Beirut), had you done so we would definitely have advised we help find a more suitable position. In my 6 years in the area, I can say I, nor our hotelier friends and neighbours have never seen slashed tyres in Torquay, it can of course happen but I certainly wouldn't have left my car there if I'd noticed this. As for the comments regarding the room and breakfast (which we noticed you ate all of each morning!), our potential guests will fortunately be able to take a more balanced opinion from the 99% of reviewers who recommend us and 98% of excellent breakfast reviews. I am sorry you felt the need to leave such a devastating review for our business. We work tirelessly to make sure we provide a clean, comfortable and welcoming facility for our guests to enjoy and relax .... at no point during your stay did you suggest there was anything amiss.

Short walk to the water. Beautiful property. Very clean. Tasty full English breakfast. Limited parking on site but there is a lot of other options including unrestricted street parking close by. Host is very knowledgeable of the area and provided excellent recommendations. Will definitely return.

Ideal location, clean and friendly
We chose TrelauneyHotel due to the excellent reviews and proximity to the town and railstation and we were not disappointed. Liz and Paul were very welcoming and have us recommendations on places to visit and eat which was much appreciated. The hotel is beautifully clean, we felt comfotrable and safe in the surroundings with the security fob entry system and all the hand cleansing stations including at the breakfast bar. We will definitely return.

WOW WOW WOW this place it amazing, the onsite parking is only available for 2 cars, but there is plenty of parking very close by. Owners are lovely and were already planning pur next visit.

Trelawney Hotel has just undergone a refurbishment by the looks of it and it was really lovely. Although we couldn't use all the Hotel because of Covid19, the bedroom was really spacious and well equipped. Our hosts were really lovely and informative about the area. A really lovely place and we would definately stay there again.

excellent stay - definitely recommended!
We had a really good stay at the Trelawney Hotel. The owners were really friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The hotel is very nicely decorated and spotless. Our room was fantastic, again spotless with all the essentials you would expect and more than ample storage space. The television is Freeview but there is catch up tv installed which worked really well. The WiFi was very reliable too. Unfortunately the dining room and lounge were closed due to COVID restrictions but breakfast was delivered to our room each morning. The quality was fantastic, the preordering system was really easy and was delivered on time each day. Overall an excellent stay and would definitely recommend...and we will be staying again!

Felt very welcome, inside and out it was immaculately kept, lovely breakfast and owners very friendly- our room was very compact, quite small with a really high ceiling! But clean and comfortable. A few differences than normal due to covid but made no different as we loved it!

The hostess with the mostest was Liz excellent stay most enjoyable only let down by lack car parking which is only for the first two cars around the back so had to hunt for space on side roads breakfast was great in every way

An absolute top notch little hotel, immaculately clean and modern. Hoteliers were extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly. Very tasty and we'll planned breakfast on offer and plenty of choice. 5 star rating. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Sort out the parking.
Our stay was very good, the downside to the whole weekend was having to park our car on the road approximately 300yds away from our accommodation and on one day we were unable to move the car as someone had decided to park so close we couldn't move it or even get to the boot, so inconsiderate of people !! Needless to say we had to stay close to the hotel for the whole day we couldn't visit any where.

Outstanding
It is close walk from all places of interest. The room is very clean and the couple running the B & B are outstanding. Only downer is the parking facilities, but there are plenty of roads with parking around the corner from the B & B.

Great Little Hotel
Great Little Hotel. Very close to the sea front, nice size room. The owners are very helpful. As for the breakfast the local sausages are amazing.. so when in Torquay, Stay Here U will love the place..

Lovely B&B not far from the sea front
Liz was lovely - very friendly and helpful. Room was nice, if a little too warm. Only niggle from me was that the towels could have been bigger. The house was lovely, breakfast was tasty and it was in a good location, wouldn't hesitate to stay again

We're delighted you enjoyed your stay with us and we take on board your comments regarding towels, as we replace them we are sourcing larger bath towels. The heating is controllable on the thermostat on each radiator, I do apologise if we haven't shown you how to control it. We do hope to see you again in the future. Kind regards Paul & Liz

Ideal for short break
Booked for New years Eve, not to far to walk into town. Friendly owner's. Good value for money. Would book again if visiting Torquay. Limited parking only downside
