Bordeaux - Gironde Accommodation

The hotel was chosen for its convenient location opposite the train station and trams and it did not disappoint. It was also pleasant in a pedestrian square with plenty of restaurants. The hotel staff were very obliging and helpful. I would recommend it as a base for exploring Bordeaux and the surrounding area.

Access to the hotel by car is not possible unless you have a eurpean cellphone or are willing to incur ridiculous roaming charges on your US / Canadian phone, as there is a barrier ca. 100m from the hotel with no intercom. Room was comfortable but somewhat small for the family of four that we are. We were promised Free wireless Internet. The Internet access was at an abysmally slow snail pace (slower than dialup), with most services blocked (Remote Desktop, Skype, Teamviewer, Logmein, and many other. I ended up buying a data Sim card and tethering through my phone to achieve reasonable internet access. I find this to be false advertising
