The "cabin" feel was unique and cute. The staff from everyone at the front desk to house keeping was so pleasant! We've already recommended others to go here.

It was a great place to stay with a large family group. We had a suite & 2 other rooms. The staff was very kind & helpful. The breakfast had a great variety of both hot & cold options. We would stay again!

Stayed twice at two different times in a week. First room was gross, lots of mold and smell. Staff responded well and gave us a different suite for our 2nd stay. Most of the carpets throughout the hotel were dated, torn, and dirty. Breakfast bar was great.

Very nice peaceful Ambience. Nice rooms and our window looked out to trees and forest . Lovely breakfast and pool is awesome beautiful murals enjoyable place for families or adults . Fitness center could use some Air circulation it’s older but large room & had what one needs to Get in a good workout !

Great place to stay, super clean. Beds and pillows were super comfortable. Breakfast smelled great, we left before it opened unfortunately. Pool looked cool as heck but we didn't have time to try it. Bar with a bit of food selection was great. Staff amazing.

We stayed 9 months ago and the condition of the hotel seems to have gone down. The staff was ok but last time i felt like our business was appreciated. It almost felt like we were an inconvenience to them. Also hotel was packed because of some relay race so we could not use the pool (filled to the max! The pool is the reason why we booked this hotel). The one thing i did enjoy was the breakfast.

Amazing staff. This was a unique property and it would be really fun to go back in the winter. I love to swim and I was disappointed that the pool was so full there was no room for one more person. It was a busy hotel but seemed like a great place for family.

When i arrived the front desk lady was AMAZING! When i got to my room there was 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper, no body wash and no shampoo - this seems to be a common trend the last 8 months I have stayed here. I ran out of toilet paper by day 2 of 6...so i used kleenex. I was here from the 21st to 26th not once did housekeeping come so no toilet paperpaper the remainder of my stay after day 2. I wasnt in the main building, so its not like i could just run to the front desk when i got in late from work each night. I travel with all my own bath supplies, so i can get past the no shampoo or body wash...but no toilet paper wash pretty disappointing. I usually stay here once a month for a minimum of 5 days, sometimes upto two weeks. I am going to start looking at other options after this visit. The front desk lady is an absolutely amazing young lady, she should be recognized because her attitude absolutely makes peoples day! She is a keeper for sure!

I have a wonderful testimony of my stay at Stoney Creek in Des Moines, Iowa. I did a dumb thing and decided I was going to put my wallet under the mattress while I went down to sit in the hot tub and then totally forgot to get it when I left the next morning. I stopped 25 miles out of Kansas City to get gas and I freaked when I realized what I had done. Called the Hotel and spoke to the manager and he went up and found it and had it sent to my home! I can't remember his name but I am soooooo grateful. Thankfully a police officer filled up my tank and got me home. Stoney Creek Hotel in Des Moines is always my place to stay when I travel north to Minneapolis/Wisconsin!!!! Deb Carlson
