Very dirty room. TV was a very old analog Sanyo made 30 years ago which were dumped in rubbish bins last century. Bathroom very dirty. The room was not wirth even $20 per night whereas I paid twice as much felt I paid too much and did not get what photos show. I asked for room change they ignored my request. Do not go there ever.

This is Adrian - Jennys Husband ,,The Greetings was good , The Cleanliness was so Poor ,, I stayed at the Gazebo Hotel a Few times starting from 40 years ago . It it seems nothing is done there .I have Photos of the Poor Cleaning it is Disgusting ,,, I had to buy a Pillow as I could not put my head down on Previous Dribble , ( I have Photos ) The Breakfast was Pathetic (No Menu )My last visit at the Gazebo you got a choice of Sausages , Bacon , Baked Beans , Mushrooms , and so forth ,, Regards Adrian

Because we were looking for something that really felt like Bali and not some rich, fancy resort that could be anywhere in the world, this place was perfect for us Wi-Fi was intermittent but it kept us off our phones more and into the environment. All of the staff were so kind and friendly. Also I highly recommend Sally and Annie for their massages, manicures and pedicures! Such beautiful women!

I loved my stay at Gazebo, all the staff are just beautiful. Pools great, gardens just gorgeous, quiet and peaceful, but so close to everything. Yes it is need of a renovation, but if there is any issue the staff were very quick to sort it out. I stayed in a suite room, it was large, with a big fridge, cup, glasses, spoons and kettle, no tea or coffee, but that was easy to sort. Breakfast with some fruits, toasters to toast your own (which I love, as I like my bread really toasted), tea and coffee, jam, butter, you can order eggs any way, pancakes and a fruit juice. I loved my stay

On arrival we were taken to a room obviously not the one we had booked. After discussion with checkin in manager and him assuring us it was the same value room we insisted on seeing the room that we had booked and confirmed. It was vastly different. we were disappointed he had lied to us. In the end we were given the correct room. This wasn’t a great start to our stay at the Gazebo Beach Hotel. Next morning we noticed the sides of the main pool were covered in black spot algae and the tiles at the bottom of the pool had green algae this is quite unhealthy for guests swimming in it. all in all if management should take more pride in the facilities it would be a good resort as location is excellent.

Staff are working hard daily making this property beautiful, rooms being deep cleaned and all air-conditioner units being updated. No wifi in saver rooms but easy access from other areas of property. Staff super helpful and friendly, definitely a home away from home. Looking forward to returning!

Great budget hotel on the beachfront
Old Balinese style hotel with beautiful gardens on the beachfront. Don't expect 5* luxury. All the staff we encountered were friendly. Stayed in Villa Kayu. Huge room, kitchenette, big fridge, tv, sofa.

Great staff and location. However, no wifi in my room. Shower leaked with very low pressure. Room aircon had to be regassed to operate properly. Breakfast buffet was very limited in offering.

The Gazebo is in an excellent position stretching from the beach to the main road. This gives easy access to everything. The staff are polite and helpful. The pool was clean and plenty of long chairs for use. It has a true Balinese feel to it as is it's style. Sadly the rooms are getting a little tired and dirty. They need an update and soon! Our room leaked when it rained ... no sealer around the air con wires that come through the wall!!

The Gazebo is in a great location, beach front and in the centre of Sanur.. The gardens are amazing and very well cared for. Breakfast was yummy with plenty of fresh fruit, toast, eggs, waffles, coffee and juice. the staff are all very nice and friendly. We stayed in a cheap room, it was abit old but large and room was clean. Shower water pressure wasn't very good but that is to be expected in Bali. Over all it was a great place to stay and would stay again

The Gazebo Hotel is Bagus!
We have been staying at the Gazebo Hotel 'on and off' for 35 years. We have always enjoyed our stays there and the management and staff are eager to please and always welcome us back. The hotel is ideally located on the beach and within walking distance of the large Hardy's Supermarket, and two great beach markets. I lives up to it's three star raring and is economically priced and accessible to. And yes we're returning again in May 2020 to the Gazebo Hotel.

Wonderful gardens, pools and big room. They fixed the DVD and gave us tea towels, flannels too. The staff are great, friendly and even leave little flowers on the table outside on the verandah for you to find.

I admit to a bias as I have stayed at this property many times over nearly 40 years. It is an older property and if you want a minimalist modern aesthetic this is not for you. It has a variety of rooms/bungalows some of which are tired but many refurbished, so you do get what you pay for. Things will not always be quite right but will always be sorted with a smile, Most of the staff are long term and it has many guests who are treated as family after multiple stays. It has the most magnificent tropical gardens and direct beachfront which are a serious plus in Sanur. Many friends have tried other beachfront properties along the Sanur strip but we all agree that Gazebo is value for money. You do feel like you are in Bali at Gazebo but like everything in the real Bali small things like dripping taps will be fixed in Bali time! If you want 5 star go to the Bali Hyatt - or visit the Gold Coast....

The property has the most fantastic gardens, oozing tranquility and peaceful atmosphere and is right on the beach. It also has two sparkling clean pools of a generous size, staff are very friendly and helpful. our villa (Kayu) was large, with fridge. microwave, good aircon, comfy bed, kettle...but no cutlery, bottle opener, glasses, bowls...just a couple of plates. Drainage in the kitchen sink was very slow, toilet cistern required fiddling for the water to fill up, and for the first three days there was a bad smell in our villa (and in the one next door to us, too - the villas opposite us were ok). In fairness, we believe the smell originated from a (sewerage?) pipe behind the hotel - the hotel's solution was to hang air fresheners in front of the air conditioner and the fan. Eventually the smell disappeared. Buffet breakfast was disappointing: lacking variety/choice: by way of fruit there was only melon and pawpaw (despite mango, pineapple and banana being in season); only balinese coffee and tea, no cereal or yoghurt; only toast bread and 1 type of jam (same every day); you could get 2 eggs any style , but only plain omelette and plain pancake; there was also fried rice; We will probably be back, because the grounds were just so spectacularly beautiful and peaceful, the location perfect, and the staff super friendly...and now that we know the weak points (breakfast) we can plan for that, and stock up/supplement the meager fare or go elsewhere.

Very rundown hotel. Some rooms and the main pool were under renovation. The whole hotel needs a serious upgrade. Staff were wonderful though. The hotel next door plays loud house music all day until midnight.

Gazebo is located in the heart of Sanur Beach and very handy to markets, cafes and restaurants. Sadly the property is a little run down these days and the pool area is need of a makeover, The restaurant is a great location right on the beach, but desperately in need of a new lease of life with a renovation and a new menu. All the staff at the Gazebo are wonderful and the gardens are beautiful. The accommodation costs match the type of accommodation you wish to stay in. We stayed in a saver room, however for 16 days it was a bit long to stay in a room without a verandah. We will go for a standard room next time.

Reasonable priced hotel close to beach
We booked a basic room but immediately upgraded it when we arrived. Wifi is not available in most rooms and we chose not to eat breakfast in the hotel as it was very ordinary. The bathroom needed some serious maintenance on the shower, toilet (the cistern constantly ran) and the bathroom desperately needed a refurbishment. The place is saved by the lovely staff and the position on the beach. The new “groovy” Beach Club next door is an irritation with constant loud thumping music going all day. We love this part of Sanur but will stay further up the beach next time.

My recent stay at Gazebo was pleasant. Room was good with full size fridge & in room safe. Gardens are beautiful & two pools, & right on beach is a bonus. Hotel next doors music was loud. Breakfast was buffet no bacon served & 1 egg per person, Has books you can swap. A very friendly staff, I was sick & was offered tea & sandwich when I arrived by the check in man.

I stayed in a super saver room and loved it!! The room was old yes but couldn't fault it for cleanliness. Location was perfect for us! Pools and facilities were amazing, WIFI left a bit to be desired so if you are planning on using this as your only form of communication you may have trouble as it doesn't seem to reach a lot of sections of the hotel.

Very old and in need of care
We were definitely disappointed with our stay here. The location was great but sadly that's about all. The staff did the best with what they have but the management were rude and completely uninterested in the fact they put us in the wrong room type for which we had paid. The bed was old and just terrible with a bedspread that was probably 20 years old. Our sheets were never changed in the week we were there and the general cleaning was horrible. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere better.

Seven days of Heaven in Sanur
We had a lovely week's holiday in Sanur. The Gazebo Hotel is situated right on the beach and very handy to cafes, restaurants and markets. The property is getting old now and needs a "facelift" I have been holidaying in Sanur since 1987 and have seen a lot of changes in the hotel property and the area. Hardy's Supermarket down the road was disappointing this year, as their stocks were low and staff indifferent whether they served you of not. However, at AU$38 a night we would definitely stay there again. The rest, pool, walks, shopping, reading and dining out are great.
