Okay hotel BUT restaurant was not good
Check in was good and front desk made reservations for dinner during check-in. When we arrived for dinner we were not acknowledged for 15 minutes and then seated. The dinner was a buffet and there was not a line. No one came to take our drink order or to explain how the buffet choices could be made. We served ourselves and then went to find someone to bring us water to drink. Food was cold and not tasteful. We left. No one came to our table this visit. The restaurant employees were rude and the food was less than mediocre.

Best hotel I have been in..
I don’t normally write reviews however this hotel was the nicest hotel I have stayed in. The walls looked freshly painted in the room and it was very clean everywhere else. The breakfast had a great variety and was loved by the whole family. The pool was so clean. The guy was out cleaning it every morning. Everywhere in the hotel was looked after from what we saw. The staff were lovely and happy to help. Would 100% recommend staying at this hotel.

The room was advertized with air condition. It didn't have any air what so ever.It was hot and the room was on the first floor, noisy environment prevented me from leaving the window open. Also no separte sheets but only one quelt. Had to suffer the whole night, I was able to sleep for only couple of hours waking up by sweat.

Great hotel away from busier city of Caen
Great and modern hotel with all amenities. Very friendly staff, spacious and clean room with big screen TV. Great shower with lots of pressure. Very good breakfast with lots of variety. Nice pool (did not have time to use it). Free parking onsite.

Kind staff, building needs attention
This is the old version of Novotel, not comparable with the newer hotels of this chain (compare this one with the one in Reims, for example, or in Ghent). The pool is very small, so not very safe for social distancing (nobody is controlling the number of people swimming, which is in theory limited to 15). The staff, however, is very good, very kind and professional.

Our hotel was build in the 70's but renewed in 2017/2018 the mode grow so fast and in this difficult situation we can't renewed the building every year. About the pool we count on our guest to respect this sanitary protocole and we have a look regularly in the swimming pool to watch and when we need, we controlled and tell to the people to leave their places for other guests to share the swimming pool with everyone. The hotel was too expensive for what it offers with €180 per night including breakfast- rooms are very asphyxiating being very small for a family of four. Rooms were clean but not the restaurant-over three days I noticed insanitary practices such as dirty plates - glasses and the worst of all seeing restaurant staff coughing in the hands right before serving utensils and food to customers- front desk staff were excellent in many ways-for example I called in the middle of the night requesting they adjust the centrally controller air conditioning in the room-the issue was resolved immediately.

Staff at breakfast were not nice or pleasant at all, a smile wouldn’t have killed them, it was like they really didn’t like there job.

The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and the location was very good to be able to explore the surrounding area. The dinner at the hotel was not very good. Some items were good, some just ok, others mediocre.

Buffet Breakfast.
A very good hotel and at a good price. It is what you expect from a Novotel Hotel i.e. clean with good service. The buffet breakfast is superb with enough choices of food to satisfy even the hungriest person!
