Went to a concert at the Bridgewater hall and this hotel is in a perfect location for this, being right opposite. Comfortable bed, very clean room and bathroomand pleasant staff. Breakfast was worth paying the £8 in advance for (it's £10 if you pay on the day)
We stayed at 'The Midland' on 25/10/14 for one night. We were greeted by a doorman, who offered to park our car for us, a lovely welcome! We checked in and were given our room key for the sixth floor. Our room had a lovely city view. The room we thought, although was comfortable, was a bit 'tired looking' and maybe due for redecoration. Nevertheless, apart from this we were more than satisfied with the service and all staff were very polite, courteous and helpful. We ordered supper using the room service for a 'Midland club sandwich' which was fresh and delicious!
Breakfast, the following morning was awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed this too.
We will, if needing to stay in Manchester, certainly return to 'The Midland'.
my wife and I stayed here again , upgraded to two bedroomed apartment at no extra cost , lots of room , very clean , ideal location to visit the city centre , friendly pleasant staff , overall a great value for money stay .
Hotel was ideally located in the city centre, close to Arndale shopping area and some great bars and restaurants. This made our stay so comfortable and convenient and meant we walked everywhere. Hotel had been recently refurbished based on reviews and we were very kindly upgraded to a newer room and on the 11th floor, high enough to be away from any street noise. Room was large although the sofa could have been more comfortable and the bathroom was very small but modern at least. Could have done with a bigger bath/shower but just a minor point really.
the thing that makes this hotel stand out is the great customer service and friendliness of the staff and the location. We could not have asked for more and we would definitely stay here again.
"An excellent alternative to a hotel when travelling in a group"
Four women on a weekend away, shopping and Take That. We will definitely be using this accommodation again when we are in Manchester. Great having kitchen facilities and a fridge, very spacious and very clean. Will be recommending them to everyone.
