First, I will say the breakfast was very nice and our family appreciated that. Second our room was clean at arrival, which was good.
However, the night we arrived the smoke detector in our room, was beeping and the gentleman at the desk said he could do nothing about it and didn’t know how to change a battery. He gave us a 9 V battery and said to give that a try. It did not work, but thankfully, we were able to disconnect the smoke detector, without setting off alarms throughout the hotel. We just kept the smoke detector unplugged for the duration of our stay. Our room also had a very leaky shower faucet that dripped rapidly all night. Based on the fact they couldn’t solve the smoke detector we assumed they would be able to do nothing about the shower faucet, and simply put washcloths under it so you couldn’t hear the dripping as loudly. There was also a lot of street noise that could be heard from inside our hotel, which I was surprised that you could hear traffic even with the windows closed. Lastly, housekeeping during the stay was nonexistent. Our first morning there as we left for our day I told the front desk that we were out of the room and it was available for cleaning and fresh towels. She told me they wouldn’t be able to clean it until we checked out and if we wanted fresh towels, we could get them ourselves at the front desk. This was not a cheap stay and I thought with it being by Hilton, it would be better. We will not be staying there again.
