Everything about the place was great except for two issues - I was on business and the WiFi wouldn’t work the night of my stay or the morning. Had to use my hotspot. And for some reason, the housekeeper tried to get me to let her clean the room before I checked out. But the room was great and people were friendly. Good location for what I needed.
The floors were dirty. We had to ask for towels both nights we stayed there. It was a king size room and they only left 1 towel each night. The chair in the room was so dirty we didn’t even sat on it. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly but that’s the only thing nice I can say about it
good location, close to university and cotton district for entertainment. Going thru renovation but room was all updated with new floors, beds, 32 in tv, and very clean bathrooms. Slept very well and was as comfortable as hotel I paid twice as much the day before. Breakfast was included and had a good selection to pick from. Because of exterior renovation, outside is a bit dusty, but everything else was near perfect.
The room was visibly dirty i cleaned myself. The microwave was broken door off. No telephone. BLOOD in one of the beds. Under the beds a crime scene roaches in the replacement microwave. When I went to complain she was telling me she was gonna fire someone very uncomfortable. And didn't say sorry but how she didn't charge me for my dog. Horrible.!!!
Hotel was under construction and we weren't told in advance. Hotel would not answer the phone, I called 2 days before my arrival, for 1 //2 hours. They never answered.
Pool was empty; beds were very hard; breakfast options were very limited (muffin, danish, dry cereal, no milk, no juice), sheets were stained, dirty washcloth in shower, dirty towel on a/c unit, no one in office when we arrived(had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to arrive), floor had no carpeting.
The room was dirtyping, the bed was stained, the laundry was flooded, the pool was drained and still green. We did even stay the night the place was so bad, do notnrecommend.

For $65 I didn’t expect a lot so my expectations were exceeded. I slept well.
Definitely a no frills hotel. It is however a good location, room was clean, a close Uber Ride to Ms.State & the cotton district. Places to eat within walking distance.

Not as bad as anticipated
This hotel was clean. However, we had no garbage can or any towels upon arrival. It needs some TLC and I will definitely not pay $128 to stay here again. Also it could use some outside attention as far as cleaning/ lawn maintenance goes. $60 would have been more reasonable.

Enough coffee for one cup, continental breakfast did not open at 6 as advertised. No do not disturb placard, no TV Guide, there wasn't even a Gideon Bible in the room
I wouldn’t recommend that anyone stay here. It was very loud and the room wasn’t clean. I asked for more towels and received them a day later. There were holes in the walls. Also there were crumbs over the beds and floors. I will never stay there again.
Plumbing just passable, only analog tv with no local channels, minimal trash receptacles, breakfast buffet sparse. Recommend only if all other hotels are booked for athletic event.
The picture do not really show how much this place is a dump...the room smelled and the towels look like they were used to wash dirty old cars and one of them even had dried blood!....this is the worst place I have ever stayed at....this is nothing more then a crappie motel! I suggest you don't stay here ever! Oh yeah there was huge dying roach in the hallway for most of the day! This place needs to be closed down!

Everything was perfectly fine. I loved the mattress. Comfortable and clean. Only problem was the construction next door. Definitely no sleeping late! Other than that I would stay again.

Thank you for your response and we are glad that you liked your stay. The construction next door should be over soon. Thanks again for the feedback as it will help us as a team to work for better customer service.
Experience starts off bad from the get go. Walked in room to find that there was only one working light bulb. Let me take that back there was only one light bulb period, there wasn’t even bulbs in the other sockets. But there was enough light to revel all the pubic hairs everywhere. It was the filthiest room I have ever stayed in my life. We wore our shoes the entire time in the room. And had to go buy our own blankets. Wish there would have been other options. But all others were full.
Friday night when my wife, two young sons and I arrived at the "hotel" we discovered a lot of seedy looking people hanging out all around the property. All the rooms are outside. There is old furniture sitting around everywhere. I payed my $400 for the room. The gentleman at the front desk was nice. The other gentleman working at the hotel came to our door smoking. As we entered the room I first noticed how dirty the room was. There was food on the floor. The door looked like it had been kicked in and put back up. The curtain didn't close all the way so anyone could see in our room. We got the kids showered. I was holding my one year old to dry his hair and the hairdryer caught on fire. Flames were coming out of both ends right by my son's head. He was scared and cried all night. I got to get a manager and the person who comes to our room is the same man who was smoking around my children at my door earlier. There was no manager. The staff was useless. I called a 1-800 number and there was no one who could help me until Monday morning. I get in bed and realize that the mattress was flipped over and no one would be able to sleep on it comfortably. I was too scared, at what I might see, to flip it over myself. I knew there was no manager to help me so I slept in my clothes on a towel on top of the dirty comforter. It was the worst "hotel experience of my life.
Stayed here for football game weekend and first off walking in room, smelt musky and had to buy air fresheners to cover up the smell
also had a little roach in bathroom
Can tell people smoked around outside area and smell was in carpet
was way too pricey even if was ballgame weekend

Decent place to stay for MSU events.
The hotel staff was friendly. The rooms are very old and not well maintained. For what I paid it was a satisfactory place to stay.
The rooms were not clean! The carpet was so dirty the bottoms of my feet were black.
The bedding was also unclean!
There were huge stains all over the sheets and crusty parts that spread to be dried on! When we asked for new sheets instead of getting fresh ones they took us to another room and had us strip the bed! Luckily we were able to find a different hotel! Still had to pay for that night however.
All other hotels were booked or charging a car payment to one night's stay, so I had to stay here. Knowing what i was getting into i didnt expect much. But OMG! Stained carpet and bed comforter. No hot water in the shower. It was 100 degress outside so i welcomed the cold shower. The room just felt dirty. I thought something was crawling on me the whole night, even sitting on the chair. I survived and i will not stay there again.
Dead bugs (roaches x 3 and something else) on the floor when I got there; still there the second day after maid service. Inside door handle fell off in hand. For a reserved 2person room....there was ONE bath towel and one towel between hand and bath size (dingy and thin) . Phone didn't work and staff didn't address that when told. Wouldn't consider getting in the pool......looked dirty and cloudy.
I booked 2 rooms 1 king and 1 double bed. This place was awful! First off the customer service was good but the room was well under living conditions. In the kids room (double beds) there was bed bugs and mold on one bed and on the other bed roachs came poping out when my son jumped on the bed. In the other room I went to put bottled water in the fridge and I found old bacon and oatmeal sitting inside and in the bottom there was old potato salad. In the restroom there appeared to be bowel drippings on the side of the toilet and the plunder as well. After all of this there was NO WAY ME AND MY Family COULD STAY HERE!!! I called hotels.com to tell them what happened and get a refund but they could only offer me half of what I paid and a $30 voucher because they said they could not get a hold to the hotel. My husband went and talked to the guy that checked us in and he got the manager and she agreed to give us a refund she was very understanding and she apologized for our inconvenience.

Your hotel experience was not the quality of service America's Best Value Inn stands for. You were promised a clean room and there is no excuse that we failed to provide you with that. The hotel staff strives to provide quality guest service, and we fell short of our goal. Please accept my sincere apologies.
Thank you,

The extrerior and the entrances were unfortunate: obvious structural issues were in evidence. The bed was clean and nice (the sheets appeared new); the room was dusty and carpet stained. When booked, it wa "the last room avaiable in Starkvile" and surrounding area
Not so good. We spotted large cockroaches in the room. Room wasn't at all like the one in the pictures. I tried to make coffee and the coffee maker wouldn't start.
Ceiling tiles falling in hall
Hallway light sconces with no covers
No remote in the room
2 thin/scratchy towels
Lamps without bulbs
No milk for cereal
Uneven steps going up to room
Busted up patio
Uncovered water meter in parking lot
SO MANY PROBLEMS TO MENTION.
Horrible!!!! Had to change rooms 3 different times. Heat did not work. Hair dyer had a short in it. Sheets had stains. Plumbing had issues. Staff was unable to satisfy me in making it right. Very unhappy with my stay. Previous I was a hotel manager; I would have done everything to make my guest happy no matter what the cost would have been.
Unfortunately, there attempt at customer service was lackluster. After switching rooms (3 times), clearly there was an issue with the overall maintenance of this hotel. From a brand standpoint, I would be dissapointed in the conditions and humiliated by association.
My family and I request that you find a way to right this experience.
