Gorgeous Stone Cottage
This is a perfect place to stay in the heart of Clyde. Immaculate and quiet. Comfy bed. The hosts leave fruit and shortbread as well. Much appreciated. Look forward to our next stay.

Loved this historic house and town
This was just so handy to everything in town. We talked with a young lady at the local restaurant who enquired where we were staying, only to find out it was her grandmother's! We had a lovely stay and will definitely return.

A great step back in time
We really enjoyed our stay here. The peace and quiet was great. The climate was so pleasant. The cottage had all that we needed and had a pretty patio garden where we could sit outside. Very close to some nice shops and eating places. Some very nice walks for the keen and not so keen. Highly recommend.

Great place to spend time in Clyde.
We wanted to do walks in Bannockburn and other spots in the area. Also popped across the road to Olivers for breakfast, very nice.

Very honest
Unfortunately we were unable to stay the days we booked. I contacted the owner, he arranged a refund with no problem at all. Very good host and an honest man. I highly recommend him and I will endeavor to stay there sometime in the future

Sweet cottage
We had such a lovely stay at the cottage. Everything worked well for us. We grilled chicken on the backyard BBQ. We loved sitting in the lounge chairs under the shade of a great tree. The cottage is right in the middle of town. All the great restaurants are within walking distance. We also loved chatting with the proprietors (who happened to be out of town) daughter. It topped off a great experience!

A special place
A unique heritage cottage with all the comforts that count, especially the bed and the modern bathroom. The host was very welcoming and we appreciated small touches like the shortbread and tips about where to eat. Highly recommended, thankyou.

Great stay in a cosy setting. Stand a lone over a motel is nice for a change Location is fantastic for restaurant’s/cafes. Nice touches with fruit and shortbread. Great value and communication. Cheers

Our stay at the Tinker's Cottage
We enjoyed our stay at the Tinker's Cottage. The cottage was delightful and very comfortable and cosy. The garden was a pretty retreat amongst lavender and roses to relax in after each days exploring. The cottage is handily located just steps from the heritage part of Clyde and close by the bike hire company that we used to cycle the Dunstan Trail. Our hosts left us gifts of shortbread and fruit which was a lovely surprise.

Very cute wee cottage. Had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Received a call from owner earlier in day regarding check in which was lovely. Some extras here and there. Bed was comfortable and warm.

A Gem in plain sight
Staying here was great experience, with the cottage creating an atmosphere of yesteryear while providing all the modern day comforts. Ideal location in the centre of the town but offering privacy and tranquility.

3rd time we’ve stayed. Great little cottage with heaps of history. And right in amongst everything. Typical male I stuffed the instructions re tv ( didn’t actually read them) but host was on hand to fix, and such an embarrassingly easy fix. A must if you haven’t stayed before…oh nearly forgot the shortbread that greets you…Yummy….thanks

Classic Clyde
This property is perfectly located in the Main Street and is an amazingly preserved piece of history. The cottage warms up quickly and is well provisioned with thoughtful extras such as fruit and baking.

Historic cottage set in an ideal location within Old Cromwell.
Very enjoyable stay in a historic place. Had a spacious garden to relax after the long bike trail and the home baking was delicious!

Wonderful location and setting
We enjoyed our stay here….quiet location, within the quaint centre of Clyde and large outdoor garden to enjoy in the sunshine. Small but adequate kitchenette, comfy large bed and modern ensuite. The property description neglected to state there was no lounge area, which meant we either had to lie on the bed to watch television, or sit at a tiny kitchen table in the kitchenette area. However this was reflected in the photos. This was adequate. We were able to enjoy the garden space and watch the daily visitors to Clyde walk by.

Great stay in a lovely location
Spent one night in the cottage before departing for the Otago Rail Trail. The cottage is centrally located to everything and very comfortable for two people. It has a nice yard for easy storage of bikes.
