Wotton House Country Estate Hotel

"Our bedroom was clean. You could see the garden out of the window but I think you’re just a bit of a stretch to say garden view. I was rather expecting to be able to sit on a chair and look out the window. Window was quite high and quite small. However, if you did stand up, I’ll look out of it. You could indeed see the garden. I found it a shame that little nice cities such as cotton buds and cotton wall were no longer available in the bathrooms. The staff were very attentive and extremely helpful and very polite. Breakfast was very nice although I have to say not quite sure what make coffee they’re using but suggestion might be don’t use it anymore. The chef very kindly cooked me some scrambled eggs because I have eating allergies. And whilst I could find food there it was perhaps not as varied as it could have been. We enjoyed drinking the bar, but the biggest biggest bug bear for both of us were the fact that a dogs were in our space.(I do not dislike dogs but feel that of an evening in a bar unless of course this is a service dog ,which clearly it was not there was no need for the dogs to be there.) three animals a fairly full bar to be honest wasn’t nice."

"The hotel is in an excellent location right in middle of town within walking distance of everything Basingstoke has to offer. Reception and eating areas we're modern and clean and the breakfast was very good with lots of options. The reception staff were excellent very friendly and helpful. The only thing was the room although clean and well presented was a little dated and could possibly do with being modernised. If this was done it would definitely improve its 3 star rating in my opinion."

"Excellent Hotel, very clean & uptogether, Staff were courteous, very good options for breakfast, a very good experience all round. The only thing not quite so good was the parking. Its not well signposted and you have to park on the 8th floor of a multistorey car park next door, which then takes you straight into the hotel - when you find that out it is fine."

"Excellent hotel with fantastic service throughout our stay. All of the staff were absolutely lovely, but a special mention to Tyler, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The breakfast was great with a lovely selection to choose from, and the pool and facilities were always clean and well maintained. Our bedroom was spotless, incredibly comfortable, and the bed was so cosy that I genuinely didn’t want to get out of it each morning. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return."
