Very near to dining places such as Sakimoto an authentic Japanese restaurant at Cathedral Junction. Hotel had friendly staff. Breakfast at surcharge was good.

One of the staff at Reception by name of Mila was very helpful. She went out of her way to explain things, including suggestion for dining options, printed list of hotel room service in case we were too tired to venture out. Hotel was very central to tram rides, shopping and dining.

It was a wonderful stay in this excellent property. We were just finishing 10 days in a campervan, so it was just what the family ordered! Comfortable beds!

Rather austere facility. Room was unexceptional but bedding was comfortable. In-hotel restaurant was forgetable. Close to Tramway Cable Car Diner. Unfortunately, at time of stay Christchurch was under renovation (I'll swear it was the whole town!) So experience was tainted.

Fine stay
We had a nice suite that was fine, if not a tiny bit tired looking. I’m disappointed that others in my group had breakfast included in their booking but because I used Hoteks.com that wasn’t an option, as the buffet breakfast was $35 a person (and not worth that). The hotel was close to many restaurants, which was a bonus. But most of them seem to have very limited hours. Some closed at 6:00 or 6:30 p.m. and others not open for breakfast.

Great hotel and service in Christchurch
Nice new property in a great location where we could walk to all the downtown sights and restaurants. The staff was very courteous and the manager on duty happily arranged for a cab to transport us to the train station. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would highly recommend it for a downtown Christchurch visit.

Valet parking only but the staff were generally nice and helpful. I was surprised at how they kept providing insufficient towels or coffee mugs even though we had four guests in the room. The room and facility were a bit old especially the bathroom definitely needs an upgrade.

Ten stars! A home away from home. Attractive quiet room and big comfy bed for a great night's sleep. Clean modern bathroom and shower. Restaurant right downstairs as good as any along the river. Best of all, quiet not noisy ambience. Great location by the Cathedral only 5-10 minute walk to the Riverfront District and the Botanic Garden. All staff members informative and radiating the Kia Ora spirit. Thank you Christchurch.

We stayed here twice in the last month in a Classic Junior Suite. Huge room, lovely hotel and staff and so central to walk to everything. We will be back.

Staff weren't overly friendly on arrival. But certainly made up for it on checkout. Hotel was busy with buses which made access in and out difficult with people and luggage all over the reception area. Could hear the music from neighbouring bar until 11pm

This place was amazing. Our family of three stayed there 4 nights. The staff was so helpful. The beds were great. My favorite pillows. Its in the middle of everything. I just can't say enough good things about this place.

We chose this hotel for its central location and within walking distance of shopping areas, attractions e.g. park and gardens, tram ride etc.. We were greeted outside the entrance immediately by a staff member upon arriving at the hotel which was lovely and she even insisted on taking 2 of our bags which we were very capable of managing on our own. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Lovely quiet room, (couldn't hear other guests), and view from it. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
