The owners are lovely and welcoming - very accommodating. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Room as billed as luxury - definitely wasn't, very basic and dated. Refused to use credit card provided with booking causing upset with our judges who were using the accommodation, and a raft of extra work in having to claim and get reimbursed.

We were moved to another room because of the tv not working which was fine, but when we returned after night out toour new room there was an awful sewage smell seeping into room. Think they needed to sort drains. Very tired units. Bed very comfortable though
It wasnt clean there was mould round the bathroom window that had a piece ofwire attached to try to open it as the latch was missing.
There was no fan or ventilation in bathroom toilet area so after having a shower the steam made the floor slippery.
The bed were so hard and uncomfortable that I restless sleep and woke with a extremely sworn back and little sleep.
Would not stay again.
We liked staying here. The owner was friendly and had some great suggestions for places to eat and things to do. The room was a bit old fashioned but with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. There was Sky TV and free wifi (that I assumed was unlimited because it never ran out but we weren't heavy users) I had concerns about road noise being right on Blenheim Road but the room was set far enough back from the road and adequately soundproofed so we didn't hear a thing. I'd stay here again.

I did arrive 12 midnight I have already called him before hand
I have giving him a ring and tell him my name and the booking details and that I’m going to be late on arrival
When I have arrived I notice that he only gives us a room for three which is my family is five people booking for
My booking was for three adult one seven years old and one eight months old baby
When I arrived see he only gives us one room for three when I told him that my booking was for five people he was making dramas and asking me to pay extra which I have already told him about my booking and showing him copy of my full booking which is one booking for two Rooms
But he insists that I have to pay extra and hold me up for one hour until I called to hotel.com to sort it out ( I think my booking online )
And he was arguing why his price is different to my booking price
They have already explained that his price was after the commission
But he was keep saying he is losing money at the end when he got it but he was insisting in being rude to everybody the hotel.com‘s problem which is it wasn’t
Customer service mean nothing to this person
I have told them it’s past midnight I got the kids And they need sleep,I will sort it out in the morning but he didn’t want to let go and keep arguing for more money
NOT HAPPY
But thanks to hotel.com to sort it out and give us $60 vouchers

Double bed mattress had collapsed and head end lower than the feet end. Had to place blankets under the mattress to be able to sleep level . A very uncomfortable nights sleep.
Discovered in the morning that the hot plate didn’t work.
The second person to shower ran out of hot water.
The new looking shower and LED lights don’t make up for a very tired property .
3 differenct Motel stays in Christchurch in 2 weeks, and this was the only one to disappoint. 1 star at best.

very noisy sounded like a generator thumping away all night needs a blind on the front door as security lights light up the whole room small heater not much heat bed comfortable enough lots of traffic

Thanks so much for your feedback. We didn't have any other complaints on the day you stayed regarding sound. Our rooms are located a far distance from the road so noise from traffic is just not true. Once again thanks for the feedback :)
Not quite what I expected! Over time I grew to like the place. My only criticism is the awkwardness of having one toilet for potentially six people; especially when another guest was in the toilet/shower for nearly one hour.
Location was what we expected. The staff was friendly, but the facility is dated both inside and out.
