The owner brought me a new one the next day. One thing that isn't necessarily evident in the photos is that the stairs to the bedrooms in the loft are very steep. "This property is in a great location and has potential but we cannot recommend in its current state. The place is superficially clean, in part but requires a deep cleaning. It is incredibly cluttered with cheap, trashy items. The cupboards are filled with expired food. There are no places to open your suitcases but on the bed or couches. "The remodeling/upgrades done on this 1900’s apartment are well done. They’ve modernized the apartment while keeping the classic charm. While Downton Appleton goes to sleep early (unless you enjoy bar hopping), the block that this apartment is located has a number of fun little shops/coffeehouses/eateries. There is also a large YMCA behind this apartment which offers day passes if you accustom to a daily workout. One negative (which is out of the control of this apartment owner) is parking....

"Property desperately needs some bug spray and maintenance. The electrical is a bit slipshod and the microwave is unreliable. I’m also not sure why they include an oven/stovetop but don’t have any pots or pans. The shower was uncomfortably small and this led to several mishaps while showering. Aside from this, the property was serviceable. The air conditioner keeps the bed cool at night, and the bed was comfortable."

"Everything was as advertised, and there were several unexpected positives. The location was perfect. We never used our car because we walked to meals, bars, beach, and entertainment. It helped to have family staying at Osthoff resort. Would have been nice to have a dishwasher and some counter space in bathroom but we managed. The host was great and kept the place well stocked.
