I stay IBIS because I know what to expect. This was no exception. The only reason I gave 3 stars for staff and service is because I was left waiting at the unattended front desk for check-in. That said I later noticed the front desk person doubling as dining room hostess and order taker! I felt sorry for her and think IBIS should spring for additional staff coverage.

Nice restaurant right by the hotel. Rooms in all Ibis could be a bit bigger...But nice to know that, wherever you go, you are going to get exactly the same, including good TV channels in English !

A delightful modern hotel ideal for an overnight stay as it's located just off the Peage network. Didn't get the time to look around, but Satnav found it instantly, which is what I wanted.

Interesting friendly hotel , with excellent Bistro in an easily accssible part of the town. Ideal for overnight stops. Will book again soon!

A great place to break your journey
We stayed for 2 days. I have stayed here before as I really like. The rooms are very comfortable, the WiFi is excellent and all the staff are very friendly.

Dead town
Just a stop over on the way to Spain. Hotel was very good possibly one of the best Ibis I have ever experienced. Caution though, this town has absolutely nothing, the busiest place was the cemetery

Friendly but looks sad.
Staff were lovely and friendly, resteraunt was very good. Needs modernising as it looks dated, area for snacks and drinks is not very good as you are sitting in the foyer near the front door where everyone is coming and going.The area around the hotel is the outskirts of town and not much there but a small shopping outlet.

I didn’t like the customer service, safety, cleaneness, etc. . I had a terrible experience. Drunk people fighting in the lobby, the receptionist was unable to call the police because he did not know how to do it. We were assigned a room that was already occupued by another customer. We were so scared for our safety and even for the receptionist security once the situation scaled.

Good stop over point
Easy reach from motorway. Good restaurant, but perhaps could offer some cheaper menus. Menus offered were of good quality. Rooms were clean and tidy. We booked 8 rooms and one had some dead flies in it, but the staff changed the room immediately with no question of fuss.

Great stop over.
Very convenient on our way down Caen/Angouleme. Within 5 mn walks to lovely parc with lake to stretch our legs. Brasserie food was lovely. Supermarket next door if you'd need anything (good to know). Will stop there again.

Hotel was very convenient location and rooms were clean and comfortable. Restaurant was fantastic, had a lovely meal. Breakfast could have been better but was the norm for a continental, croissants were not very good. Overall though a good stay.

Nice place
Nice hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast is ok Elevator did not work the entire week and that seem to be "normal" for everyone. Overall a good place to stay if you are on a business trip to Chatellerault

Business hotel in commercial area
Hotel a 40 minute walk from city centre, close to Auchen store. No local restaurants (that we could find) except their own Brasserie. Our room was very small and noisy. Opposite lift and above front door. Noise carried very easily from next room. Room smelt of cigarette smoke. Brasserie OK, but got my order wrong. Beer selection at hotel bar very limited. "Secure" parking was at the front near main road.

Wait for the builders to finish!
Marked down for Hotel Condition as they were refurbishing at least half the bedrooms on my floor at time of visit. Inside my refurbished room was fine, outside was a mess. There was no mention of this on the booking. As I was out on business during the day builders noise was not a problem. Good location for me and a fine restaurant attached to the hotel - Excellent fish dishes and Pork Choucroute of massive proportions - not for the faint hearts! All Hotel and restaurant staff were friendly, happy and mildly bemused by my quaint "mastery" of the French language. Most could speak enough English but that was not what I wanted! Would I return - a resounding yes but check the building works - that really should have been noted on my booking.

Good hotel for overnight stop.
Booked as an overnight stop on way to Bordeaux. Hotel reception staff were very helpful and dinner/breakfast were okay. Restaurant staff were a little slow with the service for dinner.

We were happy with our room and the staff were pleasant and helpful. However, we felt that the breakfast at 9 Euros was very over priced and much less good value than the one we had enjoyed at another hotel chain for 6 euros.

J'ai séjourné dans cet hôtel lors d'un déplacement professionnel. Je suis très déçue car il y avait des punaises de lits dans ma chambre. Je l'ai signalé à la réception. J'ai été bouffée par les punaises et j'ai du passer mon week-end en rentrant chez moi à desinfecter toutes mes affaires pour ne pas les ramener chez moi. Tres décevant et surtout c'est tres bizarre que la réception ainsi que le service de ménage soient surpris de ma réclamation car la chambre était infestée de punaises de lit et leurs taches de sang étaient partout sur les draps ce qui veut dire dans tous les draps et chambres. Dommage car je réservais souvent dans cette chaine. Je ne vais pas ajouter les photos car je pense qu'ils feront le nécessaire et je ne veux pas rendre les choses pires pour eux mais je n'y reviendrais jamais
