Pool out of service and that is not mentioned here nor the website. I would have NEVER booked had I known that. Not enough towels in the room. Like someone forgot to come back and replace them or just didn’t care. The towels that were in the room were rough mat towels for the floor not the fluffy body towels. The room was never at a comfortable temperature despite using the remote designed for it. Also booked a balcony room which was HORRIBLE! you cant sit on the balcony and enjoy the view because of this big concrete wall. You have to stand to even look over the wall. Defeats the purpose of a balcony if u cant sit out and enjoy the view.. so glad I listened to my instincts and booked 1 of 3 nights just to test it out.. so not worth it.

I liked the property however I don’t like the hotel industry in North Carolina. Paid parking, $12 for a hotel guest and breakfast for $20, and a $50 hold on your credit card for each night you’re staying. No way…that’s ridiculous

This place is really nice, but they did not give us enough wash clothes. And for the price , should have gotten queen size beds. Was close to the stadium which was a plus!! Thank you!!!

Check in was awkward and they seemed very unsure of what to do and then if I had paid or not. Called me as I walked into the room again concerned about my card then said nevermind I think we have it. Tried to go to the bar no menu and after 10 minutes of sitting and not being greeted I left. Online when you book it says breakfast complimentary but oh they charged you 20 bucks for eggs and bacon. Overall we won't use this company again we were not impressed. Also several areas had no functioning AC so hallways were blistering hot for some reason.

Overall stay was alright. The front desk staff were nice and helpful. The bed was clean and comfortable, The extra couch had some stains and the toilet took forever to flush. We stayed for two nights and I expected to have our room cleaned with new towels but that didn't happen. The parking fee was a surprise to us since you had to self park.

Great place to stay the staff with pleasant. The rooms are clean we went down to the pool. It was nice and clean workout areas nice. The area around the hotel is walkable and nice, overall, great experience.

I'm very particular when staying at a hotel and this hotel was everything. The entire hotel was clean and for safety no one without a key is able to go upstairs because you need a key to use the elevator so i love that. I didn't give 5 stars because I feel the breakfast is over priced. Its buffet style very little selections and is $20. This will definitely be my hotel of choice whenever I visit again

This stay was far too expensive for the quality of the stay. Its the equivalent to flying with Spirit. The lobby was visually appealing, the staff was kind, the beds were clean. However, the cost was excessive and surrounding areas are rundown and neglected. Prepare to pay $12/night for parking, NC taxes, and County Taxes. Overall property management is poor. There will certainly be panhandlers approaching your vehicle either outside of the property or the traffic light by the hotel. This property is not upfront, through booking agents, about what additional costs you will be charged. For ONE night, I paid $270. I was under the impression whilst booking my reservation that breakfast would be included in the stay and this was later confirmed again when checking in to the hotel. The following morning when approaching the breakfast bar, we are told there is a $20 fee to eat. I paid the $20. The buffet options were poor and limited. If you are looking to stay somewhere for less than $200 a night, that allows pets, and has FREE inclusive breakfast with QUALITY food, I highly recommend staying elsewhere.

Beware of hidden cost
This hotel charges an extra $12 per night parking, thet said it was on their website but not 3rd party site. They wanted to justify it by saying other hotels do it, been staying at Wingate for 7 years, never been charged, would have stayed there but they are remodeling.

Very nice atmosphere. Local to all your needs. Everything you could want within 10 minutes. I would stay here always when I come to NC. The staff was super courteous and helpful. Love it!
