The hotel is beautifully decorated and very clean. My room was on the 2nd floor closest to lobby and I never heard the music that is played in the lobby. The rooms are small so my suggestion is to add a wall hanging unit like I’ve seen in some Moxy hotels. The hotel entrance faces a parking lot and the nearest shops are very touristy or chains so felt as if I could be in any small city which is why I gave it an average for location. Overall, I would stay at the Emeline again.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff and the accommodations were excellent. The espresso machines at each floor is a nice touch and the restaurant in the lobby had great drinks. Would come here again when we visit Charleston.

I received a call 2 hours before check in that there was”an HVAC” issue with my room and they were “relocating me to a sister property”. Turns out it was a much lower star hotel and our room was a half sized room next to the elevator. I’m told this is called being “walked”. I always pay for quality experience… needless to say I’ll never stay at the Emeline again.

Great location! Walkable to many restaurants and shops. Staff were very nice. Decor very pretty, and nice touch with fresh fruit and coffee/tea/water accessible on each floor. Sleeper sofa uncomfortable, you can hear outside noise through windows and hallways were loud through the door, and our shower had a clogged drain that didn’t get fixed after requesting. Gym has very little equipment, and only 1 of 2 treadmills worked. Overall nice place but it had its issues.

Unassuming from the front and then upon entering, it’s absolutely gorgeous! The mid-century modern decor and furniture is stunning! From the coffee shop to the restaurant and then the courtyard, esthetically pleasing and comfortable. We were upgraded to a suite and it was so nice. Comfortable bed, huge shower and a gorgeous view. So glad I read reviews! We will definitely stay here again!

Really enjoyed our stay. Ate at Frankie and the fox, it was good. I like that they don't use K cups or have machines in every room. They don't provide single use plastic water bottles. But they provide filtered and bubbly water for water bottle filling, and glasses in the room, and cofffe makers on each floor. The hotel was quiet, beds and pillows were comfy. Location was convenient for exploring French quarter, battery and historic areas. The market nearby got uncomfortably busy when the Cruise ship docked on Thursday morning.

I can see why this property is on many of the itineraries for Charleston. It is wonderfully located, has one of the best restaurants and very friendly staff. it was very reasonably priced and the best price during the time we stayed compared to all other hotels. Very unique boutique hotel I highly recommend.

Doorknob / deadbolt were not very secure or nonfunctional. Wall unit upstairs was visibly broken, massive hump in middle of bed preventing us from how we normally sleep, bathroom outlet had visible black, electric markings from fuses/wires being damaged (concerning). Though convenient and pretty … not sure we would return. Cafe and their staff were lovely. Valet and doormen were the most helpful and kind. Bartenders were obnoxious, acted out loud chants and clapping. I expected a professional atmosphere and it missed the mark.

This is an amazing hotel. It is an experience in itself. The check in, Included a welcome drink, the rooms have a living room with vintage record player and albums. Complimentary drink stations on each floor. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay none of the best experiences I’ve had on my travels.

Booked property 1 month in advance they called me when I was 1 hr away driving 12 hours with a toddler to tell me they relocated me to another hotel that was not equivalent to this hotel paid more for this hotel then the hotel they put me in. didnt have an option to go to another hotel since it was such short notice. Honestly should be compensated for such an inconvenience and this is why I would never choose the emiline and will never recommend.

Emeline is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Our room was perfect, spacious, well appointed, and quiet. Great quality bedding and towels. The only con was the sofa bed, the mattress was really thin and my daughter was not very comfortable. Otherwise, everything was perfect, and we love the fact that the hotel is dog friendly.
