It was a great stay. The breakfast was also ver good for a continental breakfast. My only complaint was that the jacuzzi tub didn’t work. Despite that, I’d still stay there again. I would just call beforehand to make sure it worked.

No A/C on hot spring day. No fan in bathroom. No refrigeration in soda can dispenser. Be warned that many tourist activities closed on Tuesdays in this area.

It was small, cozy, quaint, comfortable, friendly staff, perfect for a quick overnight before attending an event at Winterthur the next day. Would totally recommend, and will likely return.

Nice place. Very happy with room, service and continental breakfast. Restaurants next door closed on Mondays, which was only next. Otherwise, I will be back as I frequently travel to this area for business

Nice Stay
We liked most everything about the hotel. Our room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The employees were pleasant and helpful. The only thing that concerned us was the coded, keyless entry. When we returned to the hotel late in the evening, we had our fingers crossed that there'd be no snafu getting in as there is no one at the front desk past 10 p.m. Fortunately, we had no problem!

I really like the options of little shops & restaurants right in the same parking lot. All the decorations amongst the building were decked out with cute holiday decor.

Very nice room, the staff was outstanding, love the area. The breakfast needs help. Eggs and bacon or sausage is needed for the price of the room.

We had a good experience at this hotel. Late check-in was easy through messages sent through text messages with door codes. The room was very clean and comfortable but there seemed to be little control over room temperature with radiant heat…we opened the window a little to reduce the room temperature. Interaction with the staff in the morning was pleasant and a breakfast of hard-boiled eggs, fruit, and pastry were just right to get us on our way. We would definitely stay here again. Good value and low stress. Just like staying at Mom’s 😊

The area was very quaint with the little shops. Great restaurants in walking distance. The only negative was the temperature in the room. It was 60 degrees in December and the only way to cool down the temperature was to open the windows.

Premium Suite a good deal
We stayed in the premium suite with a jet tub and fireplace. It was a great deal just after Christmas. Only issue is that the four poster bed is quite squeaky and may disturb light sleepers. Good breakfast and a very convenient location close to Kennett Square and Longwood Gardens

Cozy and Quaint
We had a great experience at this hotel! The atmosphere was quaint and cozy for our December stay. The grounds around the hotel added to the feeling of being in your own little village, with a coffee shop, gift shop and yoga studio (though not open during our stay). The service was friendly and accommodating. Only gave it a 4-star because we waited at the desk awhile before a person actually came to check us in. Overall, would stay here again!

Charming Brandywine river Hotel
