Excellent warm welcoming staff. Good breakfast. Eco consideration poor. Heating could be turned down particularly in bedrooms. As usual no sink plugs, hence large water wastage.

Mediocre and crowded
Was there for work hoping the amenities would make for a nice after hours diversion. The restaurant refused a la carte service despite it being advertised, which meant grabbing an extremely expensive hot dog instead of a normal dinner. Bowling cost 34 euros, which was the most expensive game of bowling ever. The pool facilities are nice BUT they are open to the public and there were at least 4 times the number of people from outside the hotel coming in for classes and such, which meant it was not relaxing and hot tubs etc. were always crowded. This seems to be a very popular stop for busloads of senior tours. Breakfast was the same buffet as any Scandic I've stayed at in Finland. Overall, I would stay at a more modern hotel downtown next time I am working in Jyväskylä.

Beautiful view
First our room had quite a bad view but at the reception they were kind to change it to one with the famous lake view, much appreciated! Over-all, very nice service and beautiful location.

Nice place overall, lots of parking, dog-friendly and lots of nature paths around while being just minutes outside of the city. Good restaurant, pools / sauna are great! The only downside was no AC in the room, made for a hot night.

We had ordered a Superior room and at best I would compare it to a cheap motel room. They did upgrade us the next day to a bigger room but the same poorly equipped bathroom. No fphone in the room and no A/C. They did provide a fan??

It is a very large hotel, the spa is amazing. Multiple types of pools and saunas. Unfortunately, there were some renovations being done, so we didn’t get to enjoy it all. I would definitely stay there again,I’d give myself more time to spend in the spa area.

Our family loved this hotel! A big room, enough for two adults and two kids. Also plenty of space for our suitcases. Nice staff at the reception, a small gift for the kids. Great breakfast buffe. The kids loved the inside pool area. We will definitely return!

A+ resort
Perfect location next to the ski resort. The family room was very spacious and comfortable. The check-in and check-out was a breeze. Our breakfast was delicious and filling. We also enjoyed the swimming pool, sauna and the fitness room. Plus a lovely view of the lake.

Invigorating Overnight Stay
We stayed at the Cumulus on the way back from Rovaniemi to Helsinki (8-10 hour drive in snow). It was the PERFECT spot for a family, and for the location on the way back to Helsinki. The pool area was fabulous, especially for our son, and the saunas and steam room were all great. The breakfast was also very, very good, and the room, while spartan, was adequately comfortable and we even tried the bowling at night. Overall we would definitely stay here again if we cross paths in the future, perfect stop over type location to refresh and invigorate you on the drive. Lots to do and an amazing pool area. Highly recommend, just don't expect anything fancy in the room.

This hotel is a good choice if traveling with a car. Hotel reception friendly and efficient. The room spacious and comfortable. Setting very peaceful. We ate dinner in the hotel and t was good. Both buffet and a la carte available. Breakfast buffet was adequate.

Nice child-friendly spa stay
The hotel has charming and unique architecture, still preserved also in the rooms. An update in the rooms would increase the comfort but would lead to loss of the character. The spa is small but very nice and child friendly. The spa can be accessed several times even during one night stay. Minus for our stay: as we arrived early (10.30) and the room was not ready, it would have been nice to let us to the spa for the waiting time. However, probably due to the too un-experienced weekend personnel, this was denyed and so we spent those waiting hours in the empty city of Jyväskylä on a rainy Sunday morning.

Due to an unexpected illness with a family member, we had to stay in town two more days while the family member was in a local hospital. My wife chose this hotel...and what a pleasant stay it was!!! Many facilities to enjoy for many different audiences: bowling alley, kids zone play area, an arcade, a nightclub, many pools set at different temperatures for soothing comfort. I would love to stay there again.

My wife and I were surprised when we got there that our family reservation for three assumed that our 7-year-old son would be sleeping between our twin beds -- like, you can shove them together and voila! No. But argue as we might, we had to pay 20 euros more for him. Not a lot, but it's the principle. Room was okay, view of parking lot and too hot (AC didn't really work, but that's rarely a problem in Finland). Nice wood paneling. Twin beds were thin and creaky. Phone didn't work. WiFi was good. The spa was great, with one problem. We were running late, so we made sure to call to confirm the time it closed. We made it! Only to be told when we were in the water that the pool part closed half an hour early! Some other unhappy families with kids were also surprised. Breakfast hall was nice, but food was only okay. You know the scrambled egg soup phenomenon? Meat was limited to meatballs and hotdogs.

This hotel is VERY comprehensive: large, comfortable rooms; over the top buffet breakfast (in a BALLROOM no less!) The 3 pools are again: over the top. It has more play areas for children than any full size resort I've been to. Highly recommend.

We stayed at the hotel with our one year old and the hotel was very child friendly with two indoor playrooms and one outdoor playground (right outside the entrance). In addition to this the spa is a great addition.

It was summer vacation time so plenty of kids but the hotel handled it well with playrooms and separate menu's. Spa and pool area fairly compact so lots of happy children not relaxing. Decor very scandinavian stylish so comfort of seating could beaffected but good beds.Superb views and not far from town with public transport

Poor front desk service
Was very disappointed with the general lack of knowledge by the front desk service people. They had no idea of how to help me get a bus from their hotel to the airport but were very proactive for me to take taxi, which costs a lot (up to 50 euros)...Yet I got a mini bus from airport to their hotel for only 5 euros, which they say they knew nothing about! Hard to believe and Not impressed!
