Decent but losing ground
The hotel is good but could use some upgrades for the high price. The staff and location are wonderful. But, the curtains and furniture are old and worn. Makes the room look like it is from the 1970's. Breakfast buffet is expensive considering the small selection. There is a very limited selection of food for room service in the evening.

Halloween at the Marriott
We stayed at the Marriott for one night at the Executive Floor on Halloween and it did not disappoint us... True the hotel is old but the warmth of the staff and crew made our stay very enjoyable... Room was clean, Food was great, Location was excellent...

Is Marriott closing down Dec 2017? Sad it's gone.
Quick check in..room was well maintained. Resto service was excellent but food too pricey and small potions. Live band was putting alot efforts to sing even not many guest. Good to have to by the pool when i stayed on Saturday.

REVIEW ON MARRIOTT CEBU CITY
The hotel is staffed with very polite and efficient staff. All staff are fluent in English though with an accent. Staff are very honest and always smiling.

The hotel front desk staff was very accommodating. He allowed us to change from 1 king size bed to 2 twin beds (my spouse, myself and daughter). And they allowed us to have late check-out. The server in Coffee Shop is also very attentive.

Adjacent to the mall , accessible to everything .
Dusty and smelly triggered my allergies . Carpet is smelly , they placed deodorizer in the hallway in front of the elevator . Still it does not removed the smell . Especially in the roooms it has a district smell of mustiness .Airconditioner is not adequate for the place . Warm at night in our rooms . Even when airconditioner is way up . No airconditioner in the hallways . Internet is very slow , need to be upgraded . The whole place need to be renovated. However, food are great and staff are super cordial and accommodating especially the dining and housekeeping staff . Those are the best . And they need to be recognized .

Nice Cebu hotel option
Enjoyed a pleasant 3 days/nights at the Marriott in Cebu. The front desk staff were very welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate our very early check-in request as we arrived at the hotel at about 6:30am. House cleaning staff were also top notch. The hotel looks old and a little run down from the outside and the lobby is quite small but overall it is well maintained with a decent outdoor pool area and fitness center. Of course, being next door to the Ayala shopping center with all the dining options available is a huge bonus. We will most certainly stay at this Marriott again!

The room had a chemical smell over a must/mold smell. Shortly, after arriving some guy knocks on my door and I cannot understand him. I call the front desk to see if they know what is going on. It took awhile but they say it is the routine weekly check for a gas leak. I asked "why didn't you do it before I got their"? No response. Noise from about 2am until 4am. Were they working on something because the noise was not a party or anything. Breakfast was not included and it is at the Radisson. The staff was very nice. The singer and music in the bar was very nice on Saturday night. Salmon in the restaurant was very good.

Shopping trip in Cebu!
A very friendly staff, the room is great, big clean and comfortable bed. Hotel location, just a step away to Ayala Mall. Restaurant and shopping are all there.

the hotel is 20 years old and you can tell from the size of the rooms and the decor and slightly musty odor in the rooms and lobby Was in the the hotel lobby and the charge for a coke was 3x the regular price with 12% VAT. I feel their room rates are way overpriced for the type of accommodations they offer

Marriott Standards but not 5 stars.
The hotel overall is pretty nice. The room and hallways are starting to become dated. With 100% humidity in Cebu all the time, it is hard to get the room adjusted with air where it was not damp. Being so close to Ayalla Mall is terrific. You can easily walk to dozens of good restaurants at a fraction of the cost of eating at the hotel. I ate a few times at the hotel. The food is consistently good but the prices are high for the area. The selection is also very far eastern. Expect a lot of fish. I had an issue with a broken fridge and they never fixed in my 21 days there. Also he bed was a bit lumpy. Housekeeping was great. Plenty of free water. Black out curtans could use some work. Also expect a lot of security.

Nice hotel very convenient and close to the mall hurt. Very nice facility with the gym in the swimming pool in the lobby is very nice and comfortable and inviting. The bartender is a very good excellent drink makers. One of the female parts he has gave me an ugly look maybe it was because of my nationality. What a shame.

Nice hotel adjacent to ayala mall
The receptionist was very accommodating allowing us to check in before the check in time of 2pm. The housekeeping was very kind also to give us extra complimentary water in the room with a kind note wishing us a wonderful stay in cebu.

Pleasant stay for business
The hotel staff are friendly, polite and well-mannered and try to actively engage me whenever we meet at the breakfast restaurant, lift or hotel area. The rooms are standard 4-star deco and looking a bit tired. It could be dark after dark. Toilet is small but clean. As I was staying in executive floor on 11th, I was able to access the exec lounge on 12th for drinks and snacks through the day. Service from the staff in the executive lounge was great! They were always helpful with suggestions and provide prompt service. All in all, a pleasant 2 night stay and I would come back to this hotel if I were in Cebu again. Friendly service makes up for the lack of a grander deco.

Not worth it for the price
Stayed 5 days. For that price, the hallways, hotel rooms and bathrooms were not so well maintained. Everytime they cleaned our room, we came back to nasty smelling carpets. It's like the smell of the cleaning rags that fastfood restaurants use on the tables without washing it. Also, whenever you request from the housekeeping or concierge, it would take at least 2 more follow ups for them to act on it (ex. Request for cleaning of rooms, water, towels and ice). The only good thing is the breakfast buffet which is easily dismissable because the hotel is directly beside a mall that offers lots of dining choices.

Excellent location near the Ayala Mall.
Room is showing it's age, however the bed is very comfortable. The staff and location make up for the older room. The breakfast buffet is to die for. The pancake girl has the nicest smule on the planet. The waiter offers a taste of traditional Filipino deserts and hand picks them for you. What an amazing experience.

BEST LOCATION IN CEBU. PERIOD.
Wonderful staff. Great location. The building is old and not much gets invested into the rooms. The lobby, buffet, etc are all great.

Room too small. No drawer for clothes.
With the name Marriott and the price we paid, we were expecting better accommodations. Instead we found the room is too small. King size bed is equal to queen size bed in U.S. No closet space or drawers for your clothes. Not sufficient towers nor soaps and shampoos were provided. No in-room coffee available as well. Staffs were great and curious! Overall I would give a 2.7 for my stayed. Sincerely, CA-TN Traveler July 2016
