This motel 6 is no longer in operation.
This Motel 6 was listed on Orbitz. I booked a 2 night stay with plans to attend my sons Army Boot Camp Family Day and Graduation. I booked it in advance knowing all the Hotels in the area will be booked for this event. I arrive with my family which included my husband,daughter and 2 month old 6 week premature infant at 1am to find a dark building with an empty parking lot. In a total panic I called Orbitz and while waiting for someone to answer the line an officer pulled up to our rental car to see if we were lost and at that point told us the local school purchased the buikding and it was set to be demolitioned. All the other hotels in the area were packed and if it weren't for the the kind night auditor at the Sleep Inn we would have been in a much worse situation.

Didn't feel save
The standard was low, we changed our room, because the first smelled bad. In the night there was a big arguing on the parking in front of our room and it seemed as if no one of the staff reacted on it. We were glad the next morning, that our car was intact and we could check out

Nice hotel, but beds are very firm.
No coffee at 8:15 am and no breakfast out. The beds were uncomfortable, but rooms were ok.

Not your below average stay
The house keeping was not very friendly. At 11 am on the dot they were at our door telling us to leave even though we were in the process of taking bags to the car. When we told them this, they replied by letting us know that we did not have late check out and needed to leave. It wasn't even two minutes past 11. Also, house keeping came by at 9 am asking if we have towels we could give them. We found this to be strange and unnecessary as we were just waking up and starting to shower. Gentlemen were wondering around outside at all hours of the night which made us feel quite uncomfortable. Late at night, when we went to ask for extra towels because house keeping never showed up with the extra we requested, there was a drunk guy inside in the fetal position which also made us feel uncomfortable. The bathtub was very dirty and we had no tissues and lacked other toiletries. The rest of the room was clean, though and we didn't see any bugs.

Worst place ever
Drove up and a domestic fight was going on out front. Clerk would not honor my AARP card, left office and another fight going on around corner, profanity flying everywhere, room was the most discusting, nasty worst bed i have ever tried to sleep in. Didnt want to walk on nasty carpet. Hallways smelled like a skunk had sprayed. It was awful. Asked for manager, not there, owner, not there. Convenient. I have stayed at Motel 6 all over because they take pets. They should pull the franchise from this one!

DO NOT STAY!!!!!!!
I came to Columbia, SC to visit my daughter who was staying in Ft Jackson for a couple months. I stayed in this hotel and it was horrible. While I was gone during the day spending time with my daughter, the housekeepers came into my room, rummaged through my bags, and stole my Surface Pro 3 laptop but left the charging cord! I called the police and they informed me that this ALWAYS happens at this hotel! I'm still waiting to get my merchandise and a refund back!

It's Aight
Price was right. I knew what to expect for the price. I was never bothered by staff or other patrons. Conditions of the room were not something you're going to brag about. The bathroom tub had a problem draining and made it difficult to take a shower. But I am no complainer. I needed a cheap place to sleep and store my stuff for a day. They gave me that.

Omg. I always thought that they would have big beds. The picture showed a big bed and when i got to the room "Kids Bed" I am a big girl and I shouldn't have to worry if im going to fall out of the bed. Disappointed

Not Your Fancy Getaway but A Getaway it Is!
Enjoyed the stay however the cleaning staff ignored my do not disturb sign. they also were EXTREMELY loud during the morning while checking rooms and holding conversation outside my door. This was my 2nd stay here the first was much more exciting. There are many empty- as in NOTHING INSIDE rooms so I believe they are renovating. Other than that it's minutes from downtown, I enjoyed the area. Food and shopping are in walking distance.

Arrived late, approx 1 AM, otherwise I would have asked for another room. Receptionist pleasant and efficient. This hotel appeared to be under some phase of renovation/construction. Housekeeping was poor. Previous occupants' cell phone earbuds were found in the bed, along with their hair on pillows and sheets, and their old soap in the shower. Old cheetos and french fries were on the floor. Some shleves appeared to have been removed from over the toilet, leaving large holes in the wall. Toilet paper spindle was missing. Could not get the remote to turn on the TV. No coffee maker, Had to search for any drinking glasses. Good hot water in shower. AC/heat worked well.

staff that were helpful and friendly
After a long frustrating night with confusion of the city streets, the staff stayed on the phone until I got to the door. They were always friendly and patient when my key would demagnetized.

Where should I start....garbage in can AND dirty soap left in tub when we entered the room, holes in the walls, rust on the ceiling from leaks, uncomfortable bed (felt like a sleeping on a board), no one greeted us at the front desk- had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come then had no pens at the front desk, holes in carpets, rust and mildew everywhere, terrible stay

There was a crazy lady staying above me. She was yelling & screaming all day. She asked me for money and food. Being there all by myself, I have to say I was a little creeped out by the characters that were there! Would stay somewhere else next visit!

Possible bed bug found. Frig was frozen. Uncomfortable for sure. I have stayed at Motel 6 in different states on numerous occasions, and others have been nice in comparison.

Extremely Dirty!
Extremely dirty! Smoke smell everywhere. Long-term guests hanging around outside; smoking, drinking and etc. Place feels very unsafe. Garbage and food laying around in parking lot, on stairs, and down walkways. Would not recommend this hotel/motel, especially if you have children.

Disappointing.
Door to room had been opened by pry-bar in the recent past and was not well repaired. Took two replacement cards to get in the door to the room (first night). Found a serious critter on the floor of the bathroom in the morning (still kicking). Returning in the afternoon, had to get the key redone again. Did not stay the second night, drove 4 hours home instead.
