Dear Guest. Terms and conditions are clearly written. You did not book direct but used a worldwide booking engine, that is this one you are writing from. They are always pretty precise when it comes to policies and small prints. This is exactly what a traveler should read carefully, before reserving. In case they are not convincing you, just contact the property, before you go ahead and finalize your reservation. You didn't do any of the above things, I suppose. Notwithstanding, everytime we receive a booking through a third party, although it is not stated, we like to send a further confirmation e-mail, with all possible details, including our Bed & Breakfast description ( It's a B&B, It's NOT a Hotel. it's written everywhere. B&Bs have different policies from standard hotels, didn't you know that?), directions to reach us and terms and conditions. Yes, the accommodation is not in the Castle, as per our website and all our guests' reviews. I assume you did not pay attention to that either. Also, you were already in the neighborhood the day of your arrival and checked in within 19:30. This means no late arrival additional fee, so, please, just explain what are you complaining of! For something you did not even pay? Also, our e-mail clearly says: - no rooms inside the Castle. The B&B is housed into a renovated annex. - no onsite restaurant - rooms are not soundproof - all rooms, including the common breakfast room, are designated as NON- Smoking areas So, once you got all the information, why didn't you cancel if you didn't like what you booked? You were sharing the annex with other 4 people, with who you were delighted to have a chat with for a very long time. Now it turns out they were noisy? They are still staying at ours. We should invite them to read your comments. Yes, madame, we agree we are too expensive for you.

Buon Giorno, Thank you very much for your kind review! Just a few clarifications: - there is always someone around, even at night, because the Castle, that is the main building, hosts the owner of the B&B, who lives there. You do not have a 24h front desk though, that is true, but because Castello D'Urso Somma is a Bed & Breakfast and does not provide hotels services. This is the reason why we always ask our guests about their check-in time ( limited hours if not previously agreed) and give them all other possible information upon booking, including our non-central location and that the nearest restaurant is 10 minutes away by car, but not at a walkable distance. As a matter of fact, you received that too Here follows the main part of what you received ( it's cut-copy-paste): Our rates are per room per night and include: 24h Self Service Buffet Breakfast (Italian basic: milk, coffee, tea, cereals, yogurts, biscuits, golden ranks, packed croissants, seasonal fresh fruit, Nutella, jams, honey, and butter) Daily housekeeping Bed and bathroom linens Energetic consumption On-site Private Parking Use of the outdoor semi-Olympic Swimming Pool - IF OPEN (towels not included) Wi-Fi VAT Please remember : no rooms inside the Castle. The B&B is housed into a renovated annex. no onsite restaurant ( but there are plenty in the city center, that is just a few minutes drive away) rooms are not soundproof all rooms, including the common breakfast room, are designated as NON- Smoking areas Also: - you are given a key for the main entrance gate, as soon as you check in ( yes, you need to buzz at the intercom, when you first arrive. Sorry if this was to much trouble for you but B&Bs work like a small home and you need to knock at first) - It's October in Sicily too. This means that, although we can get sunny days, it's autumn! Our open-air ( read above) swimming pool can be closed - we are not centrally located; we are close to the airport and main highways. how come you were so surprised? As a matter of fact, you received that too and you replied: " I am disappointed that there are no rooms in the castle. Clearly, you show the castle on your leading website photo and this lead to think that I would stay in a nice castle. What is more worrying for me is that you say your rooms are not soundproofed. I am a light sleeper and this concerns me. I thought the hotel was located in a quiet area and this is why I chose you. What sort of noise will I have to expect? May I hear others talking, are your walls that thin? I hope it is not creating a problem.".Since we always try hard to give our guests a pleasant stay, what I certainly told you was you could cancel and NO FEES would have applied ( although YOU chose a non-refundable option). But we were "lucky" and you came anyway! Apart from that, ALL reviews say:- No airport noise. Despite being only a couple of km away from the terminal but, yes! something could just arrive from a possible next door guest ( again: ROOMS ARE NOT SOUNDPROOF) - Out of town location, close to the airport, close to Catania's industrial zone. I suggested you a car hire or to use our door to door transfer service at a very reasonable cost but you preferred taking a 30 euro cab from the airport and then walking during your entire stay, claiming you loved wandering on foot.you had your tablet as your second skin, so how could you possibly not have realized the distances?
