Very peaceful location and beautiful views of the river and vineyards. Room nice and bright, good size bathroom and nice breakfast with lots of choices. Very friendly staff. Also the swimming pool was lovely. Tua is a very small village with only 2 restaurants but you can go to town of Pinhao in 15 minutes on the train. If you want to relax and enjoy nature I definitely recommend Casa do Tua.

Would highly recommend. Check-in was easy and welcoming. Staff are very accomodating and friendly. Breakfast buffet was great. Lovely walking trail along river below hotel, train station across the street if you would like to take a scenic ride. Room was spotless and comfortable. Awesome common areas, big pool, games room with pool table, sitting area with loungers and big TV. The breakfast room was first class.

Great little spot for a quick stay
The reviews were great and at $67 for a river view room we couldn’t resist. It is out of the way but next to the Tua train station. Room simple but comfy and decent size. The pool and view are excellent. Nice bkfst in am. The restaurant next door was amazing. Wild boar stew was fabulous. Great house wine at $3 for 1/2 liter! Great place at about the halfway point for a car loop of the Duoro Valley.

Foz do Tua is a beautiful place - the hotel was excellent and the staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant. The whole experience was brilliant and we would recommend the hotel and pace to anyone. Superb!!!

Hidden gem!
This hotel is a hidden gem! Everything was amazing. From the staff, to the view and then the breakfast. It was very clean and comfortable and I really wanted to stay and relax here for a week! The pool is amazing and again, the staff and breakfast were incredible.

A gem in the middle of the Douro Valley
The most wonderful little hotel situated in the tiny village of Tua. The setting was so beautiful that had we been able to, we would have extended our stay for a second night. Immaculate and modern with an excellent breakfast, the best we’ve had on our travels through Portugal. The highlight of my breakfast was the homemade pumpkin almond jam, which our lovely hostess, Maria typed out the recipe for me in English, despite her very limited vocabulary. With our bedroom overlooking the Douro River and the total tranquility of this tiny village, one can choose to swim in the pool, sit in the sun on the patio, do some walking, or use it as a base to visit surrounding wine farms and bigger villages, or go for scenic drives or sail along the Douro River. If I could give 6 stars I would as there was not a thing I would change. Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s too cheap to be good.

We were welcomed warmly on arrival, the place was clean and the hosts were so nice. The actual hotel sits on such beautiful land, views were not ones we’d taken before. We didn’t get time to enjoy the pool but it looked lovely. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and had an array for anyone. We will definitely come back to the Douro valley, I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Rimelig og bra hotell i Tua
Enkelt og rimelig hotell i Tua. Rommene var enkle, men rene og innbydende. Flott bassengområde med flott utsikt over elva. Veldig hjelpsomt personale. God frokost, fikk også kaffe fra kaffemaskinen da vi ba om det. På grunn av togstreiken måtte vi ta et tidlig tog tilbake, fikk med en flott frokostpakke til å spise på toget.

Hôtel de charme à côté de la gare dans un tout petit village au départ de randonnées pédestres le long du Douro et surplombant le Douro, au milieu des vignes. Hôtel avec superbe piscine et petit déjeuner avec produits locaux. Jus d’oranges et confitures excellents. Possible de prendre le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse. Tout était parfait.

Den finaste och mest harmoniska platsen vi upplevt
Ett fantastiskt hotell med ett vänligt och trevligt bemötande från all personal! Eftersom vi reste genom Portugal med tåg och vår son på 10 månader, så letade vi efter boende nära en tågstation. Målet var att bo nära Douro-floden och uppleva floden från tågrälsen. Vi hade ingen koll på vart man skulle bo, men började leta på dom ställena som många tipsar om, tyvärr inget om Tua. Men vi såg att ett av dom sista stoppen med tåget var just där och att det finns ett hotell precis mellan tågstationen och floden. Eftersom det var billigt så förväntade vi oss att det kanske var något som drog ner upplevelsen, t ex att tågtrafiken väcker en om nätterna eller något liknande. Men det finns absolut inget att klaga på! Det hade varit lite smidigare om det fanns en supermarket i byn. Men det vi hade akut behov av löste personalen på hotellet åt oss. Frukosten var väldigt bra! Jag och min sambo är fortfarande helt tagna av upplevelsen vi fick i Tua och med det här hotellet. Lugnet, ljudet av floden som sakta rinner förbi, alla fåglar som sjunger från båda sidorna av floden. Samtidigt som man kan njuta av lyxen att kunna svalka sig i en jättefin pool! Ligga i en solstol och njuta av dom långa vyerna över dalen med det böljande landskapet, täckt av vinodlingar och olivträd. Den lilla promenaden längs med floden, precis nedanför hotellet. Den goda maten på restaurangerna precis bredvid. Hela hotellet var snyggt och välstädat. Vi hade en oförglömlig tid här och kommer förhoppningsvis tillbaka.

A estadia foi excelente, tudo muito limpo,muito bem recebidos, o pequeno almoço é fantástico. Só um único reparo: para quem quiser tomar banho no rio é muito difícil, não existe um caminho apropriado, o que é uma pena assim tão perto. O rio é uma alternativa á piscina e podia-se criar condições para isso. Quanto ao mais fabuloso, a repetir.
