I was surprised how amazing this hotel was considering the price. The rooms were very clean, beautifully decorated, with everything you need in a hotel including electric radiator, breakfast was brilliant, parking on site for free. Staff were so welcoming

Stayed 4 nights and room wasn’t serviced once. Had to get clean towels and toilet rolls on 2nd day from reception. Not even my bin was emptied in the room ! No food available in hotel (apart from breakfast) and beer expensive at bar ! Luckily there was a few good pubs really close by offering food and also a good curry just up the road. Sainsbury’s local very close also. Difficult to recommend this hotel that has potential to be a cost effective option when staying over in Carlisle. Unfortunately I will be looking elsewhere when I need to spend 2/3days a week there.

The room was outdated, with poor sound insulation. We could hear the room next door watching bbc news. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom a good size, but the shower pressure was tragic. The room appeared clean and the bathroom was clean, but there were stains on the carpet, and it didn’t feel hoovered properly. At check in, the staff was on the phone, instructing us to check in via screen. No one informed us how to get to our room, which given the hotel has a maze like structure was tricky. Room cleaning was strange. We got fresh towels, but the dirty ones weren’t removed, the bed wasn’t made, and nothing was cleaned for the 3 nights. Breakfast was included and a good standard English breakfast offering, with fresh pastries etc. Parking was convenient. We will not be returning to this hotel when visiting Carlisle.
