Check in good lady helpful Room on 1st floor no lift Returned at 11pm person on receptionist could not do reception and bar,so bar was closed Hot breakfast food took 50 minutes was told 15 Lack of staff at breakfast ran out of juice,glasses,cups,bread,hot water and tea bags

Dear Linda,Thank your for your comments. We have had 70 breakfasts that morning and unfortunately everyone came down at the same time. You were told that there would be a wait. The bar was closed due to intoxicated guests trying to get more drinks and due to licensing we have got the right to close the bar.We are clearly advertising that we do not have a lift and as you have stated the hotel has only got a ground floor and a first floor.

The hotel was spotlessly clean though the room on our return journey needed updating. The bed on our first stay was very comfortable.

The property was spotlessly clean and the staff were pleasant and helpful. My only criticism is that the bread in the sandwiches was the cheap,chewy, sliced bread you find at supermarkets.

Really nice hotel. The staff, especially the older lady was probably the nicest member of staff I’ve ever met. So helpful. Gave us ideas on where to go for entertainment etc. Helped with taxis and directions to Barry Island. She was amazing

Great hotel. Old building that has been done up as well as possible. Fabtastic size rooms and amazing location to the airport. Staff couldnt do any more for you! Exceptional breakfast too, definately dont miss that!

Fantastic size room, great for 4 people very clean and very quiet, the breakfast was one of the best we have ever had, great produce and cooked to perfection

We had a very comfortable stay in a very spacious family room. Lots of space, sofa, lovely and warm. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Perfect for the night before a flight.

The beds are the worst I have slept in for many a year when you shut the window there was a 5 mm gap.the shower head wanted throwing in the bin would not stay there again.

Although this property is dated and the mattress sagging, it is clean and safe for a single woman traveling alone. The restaurant at the property was delicious and the hotel is super convenient to the Cardiff airport (by taxi 5 minutes). Thanks to the front desk clerk Janet, who actually helped me carry my luggage to the room herself as they don’t have luggage carts. The bartender/waitress (sorry can’t remember her name) was kind and courteous and very professional. I’ll be back to stay here.

Hotel is tired and not enough staff, they had to double up on jobs which made us feel awkward when we wanted service

Ideal for Cardiff Airport, great overnight stay
Overnight stay before travel to airport following morning. Friendly welcome, even a phone call to the room after arrival to check I was happy with everything. Was tired and a late night arrival /last minute booking so didn't use any restaurant facilities. Was v clean and would stay again.

This property is not within easy walking distance of the airport. When I asked if it was safe to walk it, staff said yes. The road is very busy and has no sidewalks, no it isn't safe. First room overlooked the street, very noisy, so we were moved to the back. Bed was an old spring mattress, very uncomfortable. Decor was tired. Staff missed our wakeup call. Dinner was slow and burgers overcooked. Another guest I overheard complained of moldy bread. I can't recommend this property.

Hi Sheila,Thank you for your comments. All of our members of staff would have told you that there is no pedestrian area and would not have recommended for you to walk. We are an airport hotel hence the reason we are on a busy road! The second room you have been allocated to has a brand new bed and mattress, No complaints were logged during the evening service and we took 300 that evening which is food and drink so I doubt very much that the service was slow

We had rode our bikes for hours and we were soaking wet the very nice nice lady put our wet items in the dryer for us excellent. Rooms were good and the restaurant was very good will stay here again next year

I was surprised at how far the hotel was from the airport, I had assumed that I could walk in rather than have to take a taxi. The hotel itself was fine

Hi Timothy,Thank you for your review. The airport is 1.6 miles away which is a 15 minute walk. We do not recommend walking it as there is no pedestrian area and you would have to walk in the road.
