Disappointing Experience
My experience at this hotel was a far cry from what was advertised. Upon check-in, I was surprised to find additional charges, including nightly parking fees despite ample parking space available onsite, as well as a R250 per person damages deposit, which I declined to pay, leading them to take my driver's license as collateral. The floors, made of black polished concrete, were a constant source of frustration as stepping out of the shower inevitably resulted in blackened feet.
I must commend the gentleman who assisted me during my stay; he was very helpful and professional. However, it's evident that the issues I encountered are systemic and not reflective of his efforts.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel to others. The restrictive policy displayed prominently in the reception area prohibiting the consumption of alcohol on the premises struck me as excessive, even though I personally do not drink. Overall, my experience fell short of expectations.
