Great Old School Motel
We enjoyed our stay at the Falmouth Motor Lodge. The motel was selected for it's closeness to the Island Queen Dock for the boat to Martha's Vineyard. The beach was also in walking distance. The propoerty is many acres and it beautiful! Debbie in the office was very helpful with restaurant locations (many could be walked to ) and other suggestions. She was a delight!

When a guest books a guest room through Expedia, the first bullet is the square footage. So, a comment such as yours seems unwarranted as you were fully informed of the guest room size prior to your reserving. All information provided on the Expedia website is accurate and updated. Perhaps your booking was price driven. The Lodge's pricing is tiered. Thus, larger rooms with more square footage and different configurations are priced accordingly. And, the photos of the room you choose are displayed on Expedia as you move through the booking process. The Lodge is transparent. We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your choice. Next time, consider guest rooms that have more square footage even if they are slightly higher in price.

Clean & great location in Falmouth.
Loved the friendly service, clean & comfortable rooms. So happy they gave us a complementary upgrade to include a larger room with a kitchen, loveseat, extra balcony & dining nook and a connecting door to our second room. A close walk to the beach.

We are sorry you did not enjoy your evening. I am sure the guest room was tight being that you brought three extra guests without informing us. Please know that the reason we need an accurate head count is due to fire and safety issues not to mention maximum occupancy policies per guest room. Next time please let us know you will be bringing your three additional guests and we will make sure you have a guest room that will accommodate five. Thank you for the review

Dear Guest,We appreciate your taking time to review the Lodge. Upon booking, Expedia's guest room descriptions are listed front and center. The bullet highlights provide the square footage of the guest room that you, as a booker, are interested in. In Expedia's bullet list, square footage is their first bullet. In this instance, you booked a Main Lodge Queen which is 224 Square feet. After booking, Expedia sends an email confirmation to you which, again, includes guest room square footage. The Lodge makes every attempt to inform guests of what they are booking in advance with photos, descriptions and square footage. Here at the Lodge, price is reflective of guest room size and amenities offered. Please consider a larger guest room in the future. And, we do offer USB ports in the Main Lodge Queen guest rooms at the desk near the microwave. We are sorry you didn't see them. Thanks for writing in!

Very tiny room but good location!
Our room was extremely small…definitely not the room in the picture that we thought we were booking. The front desk called us 2 or 3 times before our arrival to ask us if we would like an upgrade to a bigger room for $30 per night. We declined as we thought the room pictured was acceptable. It was quite claustrophobic. On a positive note…. The motor lodge is in a very good location. You can walk to the Island Queen ferry, Falmouth harbor and several restaurants. Also, The room was very clean.

Dear Guest,Thank you for the positive note. The Lodge does have a terrific location being just a five minute walk from both the beach and ferry. Regarding the Main Lodge queen guest room and size, Expedia places the square footage at the top of the booking page. In fact, it is the first in their bullet listing. And, the Lodge is quite transparent. We post square footage as well. Further, the Lodge's price reflects the room size and amenities. There are many other guest rooms, room sizes and room types. We hope you consider another stay at the Lodge and choose a guest room that is more spacious. Thank you!

Our stay was very good. Very clean rooms. staff very friendly and helpful.. Location is very close to beach and near downtown Falmouth.. We enjoyed our stay. Have been to this hotel before and always enjoyed!

It was extremely clean and so accessible to the beach/restaurants. It was quiet and the staff were very nice/helpful. The only thing that I didn't like was how incredibly moist (awful word, I know) the room was the entire time. I was not aware we could ask for a dehumidifier until we checked out and I asked the staff. I know it's the Cape, and it comes with the territory, but our towels/bathingsuits couldn't dry... the floor in the bathroom was never dry... after showering it just stayed wet/moist in there the entire time... everything just had a layer of moisture on it. Also, there are NO towels in the room at all, not even bath towels, you have to ask for them. Other then this, I was VERY impressed with the cleanliness, safety, and friendliness here at this motel.

This was our first stay at this property and so glad we tried it out. The room we had was very clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming from check in to check out, and the location is easy walking distance to plenty of food and recreation options (as well as the ferry to Oak Bluffs). Would definitely recommend.

HI Annie, You booked a room here in the Main Lodge. The Lodge is comprised of 8 buildings and we offer 11 room types throughout the six acre property. Your choice was in the traditional Motor Lodge. If you look at your confirmation, the room that you selected is shown complete with a photo through Hotels.com and a description is provided along with the square footage. If you wanted a particular guest room (prices range depending upon which type of guest room)that you saw online, just call in and we can make that happen. Thank you for taking the time to review.

This is a vintage family run Motor Lodge. I did not use the word old because that word brings up bad connotations of a run down motel. This is anything but rundown. It is a very modern and comfortable place. I highly recommend it. It deserves a 5 star. Ask for the new king room in the back!!

The Lodge is a 1950's property. We work with what we have. Most guests enjoy the feel of the olde Cape. We have several buildings. Perhaps you would have found one of the outer buildings more suitable to todays square footage. Please consider us another time and in another building. Thank you for your review.

Loved the property, location, staff, SO SO CLEAN! It's a little outdated not modern, and we loved that. Lady that worked night was so awesome and informative!! Perfectly placed near everything! Beach was close by, restaurants, shopping, and best of all down road from ferry! Only not so great was bed, very hard and maybe outdated, I was hoping for the room to look like pictures but ours did not, but we had a great vacation!

Quaint motor lodge in Falmouth. Covers the basics well and very clean. Pretty setting and very nice pool. Walking distance to ferry and beach. Rooms are a big tight with only one chair for sitting. Overall, a nice place to stay.

Great Stay
The Motor Lodge is made up of a "Motel" building and then several houses on the grounds that were obviously converted into additional rooms. We were in one of the houses in the back, and it was perfect. We had our own private covered patio which was nice for the one rainy day we had on our trip. Kim was our very friendly housekeeper, who offered great suggestions for places to see and dine. The location is about a 10 minute walk to the Queen Island Ferry to Martha's Vineyard, no need to drive. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, but it's only a short drive to the center of town where you'll find an abundance of restaurants and great shopping. Only suggestion I'd offer is to have coffee makers in the rooms. Coffee was available in the office, but it didn't open until 8:00 am. Luckily one of the couples we were with brought their own Keurig, so that helped. We would definitely stay here again.

The overall stay was picture perfect. We stayed in Unit 5 that has a queen bed. The room was cleaned properly. There were plenty of fresh towels. Ms Joy in the office was extremely helpful. She was courteous and helped us making our stay a pleasant one. We plan to come back again to this place.

Dear Guest, I understand why you were disappointed with the circumstances surrounding your booking. I did send the information to you showing you that there was a 2 hour and nine minute delay in receiving notification of your booking from Expedia. As I shared, I am unable to explain the delay on their side. You will have to ask them as they are your booking agent. However, I am not sure that receiving a review from you for the Lodge when you didn't actually stay here is fitting. Thank you
