Very good
Very convenient and close to ring road for travelling around.Supermarkets and eateries close by.Very good hot and cold breakfast,clean room,decent shower etc.Only negative was that attached restaurant was closed for refurb.which was unexpected and very annoying.

Worn and dreary but comfortable
Hotel was OK, but needs work to bring it up to date. Shabby and worn is best way to describe it. No lift. Dark in parts and dreary. Carpets unclean and unhygienic, need to be changed to wooden floors. Grouting on bathroom tiles needs replacing and shower old and doors need deep clean or replacing. Decor old and dull, with many holes the the walls. However, beds were clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities provided. Reception friendly and helpful.

Tired and in desperate need of refurbishment
The hotel is a little tired and in desperate need of refurbishment. In saying that, it was practical although I found the automated key card system annoying and the digital entry system baffling as it took ages before I worked out the system. All these grate when you have been travelling for a long time, tired and in need of your bed. Sadly it doesn't improve the service aspect of your stay.

Poor value - zero communication
On arrival I was not told that there was not restaurant throughout the whole of the weekend. I had no car, and it is miles from Caen. I was told there is a McDonald and a Chinese restaurant over the road - it turned out that the Chinese restaurant was closed until 7 Aug (over a month after I had left!). If I had known that the restaurant was shut I would not have booked - I do not use UberEats (the answer I was told when I complained on leaving!) and my French is not good enough to book a taxi and try what I could find in Caen. On Monday I wanted a beer at 6pm and was told that the bar did not belong to the hotel so they could not sell me one until it opened at 7pm! Overall - the hotel was clean but not great - little / no availability of disinfectant cleaner for hands etc. Nothing at all in the room in terms of disinfectant. There was a kettle in the room - that did not fit in the sink so water spilled out when trying to fill it. There were no cups or coffee / tea - this was only available from the reception area - which I had to find for myself. When my colleague arrived late on Sunday he had to log himself in via key pad but had no access to the coffee / cups until the next morning! Why not leave a set in the room! The food in the restaurant was not good - over seasoned, poor quality, not hot and not clean crockery e.g. most breakfast cutlery was not clean from dishwasher or glasses. Overall very poor and we will not book here again.

Front desk lady very helpful, but bathroom was clearly not fully cleaned (major item left out, though rest was fairly clean).. Hotel near highway, so noise prevented window from being left open at night.

Stayed overnight - recently
Comfortable bed, spotless linen. I was at front of hotel and despite a busy road outside - I did not hear the traffic. If you had the window open it may have been audible. But a flat roof outside so not safe to leave window open. Clean shower and bathroom.

Wonderful breakfast
Perfect location for getting off ferry from Portsmouth and needing a bed before long drive the next day. Rooms perfectly comfortable. Breakfast wonderful with loads of choice. Definitely worth paying extra for the breakfast.

Good facilities and convenient for ferryport.
A one night stay after the ferry crossing from Portsmouth. Good hotel, handy for ferryport and all necessary requirements met, ie; clean room, comfortable bed, car park, wi-fi. Because the ferry was late arriving it meant that the hotel would be closed by the time we arrived. I e-mailed the hotel and explained the situation and by return had a reply giving me instructions about how to access the hotel with a code through the night entrance, together with information about our room number and the key - all good. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Recommended and convenient Caen ferry.
Very convenient location for accessing the A88 and Falaise route after a late night ferry arrival.Very clear instructions over the phone in own language regarding late arrival.Restaurants and supermarket nearby.Very quiet room in spite of proximity to Caen ring-road.Welcome tray a bonus for us.Very good value.

We were given a warm welcome. The situation was ideal as we had just come from the ferry. The room was clean and comfortable and the shower room really modern. The hotel did not have a lift and we were 3rd floor. I had not thought to check if there was a lift but as I have difficulty with steps this was a bit of a problem, Also there were no lights on our corridor and as we arrived late it was just as well my husband had a torch so we could find our room number. He reported this fault and they noted it.

Good for early start to catch ferry
Staff helpful. Carpets getting a bit worn and therefore difficult to look clean, but was clean and tidy inside. Nice to have tea/coffee and washing items. Overall a good accommodation for the cost and convenience.

Perfect stopover
Easy to find, close to supermarket (30 second drive, [E Leclerc])), huge hyper market (10 minute drive [Cora]), garage, restaurants. Perfect stopover for the ferry port (20 minute drive). Handy too for D-Day tourism and Bayeux tapestry. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Extremely reasonably priced.

A disgrace to the myriad name
The room was filthy. The ceiling in the shower was covered in mould. the sheets did not smell like they had been changed and the bin was covered in unknown fluids and body hair. could not sleep at all.

Convenient stop off on route from ferry port.
We last time we stayed in this hotel was about 16 years ago when it was a Primevere The room we stayed in on the ground floor had not been updated since then. Wood chip wallpaper, orange colour walls and a very outdated bathroom suite. However it was very clean.

Poor Hotel that did not reflect its description.
First impression from the outside was not encouraging as it looked neglected, this was confirmed on entering reception. The corridor leading to our room was "dark and dingy" and the room was very small. Tea and coffee was supplied but only 2 small milk cartons, when I asked reception for more I was informed that each additional carton was 20cents!!! Breakfast was an additional charge of 10 euros each and was not worth the money. Miles from the centre of Caen.

The staff were excellent. The hotel fabric felt a bit tired and there was a whiff of stale cigarette smoke in the room despite the no smoking signs. The fittings were reasonable. The bed needed more over the protective plastic covering than just a sheet: it made the bed feel hot and sticky.

It is right off the highway and across the street from McDonalds. My spouse and I ate dinner at the Hotel. Good quality and reasonably priced. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Get the handicapped room if you want a bathtub or a spacious room. Overall I was very satisfied. My only complaint was Hotel was dated but, it was very clean! My spouse and I stayed here with my 12 children ranging from 2 to 24 years old.

the location wasn't a problem with a car but it is actually aoutside the city and on the highway. The bathroom sink was dirty when we went into the room.

Décevant dans l ensemble
Accès compliqué deux nuits de suite. obliger.d appeller le responsable. Qui lors de la deuxième nuits.nous avons cru devoir dormir dans notre voiture devant l hotel .appeler 5 fois . Trapper sur la chambre du responsable de l hotel. Il nous a répondu au bout de 20 mn. Nous étions chez des amies et nous sommes arrivées au environ de 2h du matin . nous lui avons demandé des explications. Rep: notre carte n avais pas été réactivée pour la deuxième nuit. Pensant qu on avait réservé qu une seule nuit .manque de professionnalisme tout même .

Salle de douche très moyenne au niveau propreté. Les joints de la douche sont noirs, le bas de la porte de la douche plein de calcaire et de moisissures. Literie « un peu » vieillissante Franchement déçu par cette établissement qui fut à une époque très prisé.
